Had the most wonderful dinner at Shakahari. The sauce which came with the samosas was beg for more delicious and my roti and chickpea curry was so amazing that I ate the leftovers like an addict. Nice portions! My friends ordered two other dishes and were equally delighted. I took a star away because they are still working on service, but gave it back because of the hospitality. Speak with the proprietor. She's just lovely. And sent all three of us home with to go sizes of the samosas sauce when she realized how much we loved it.

I just started a new diet, meatless mondays. 1st week trying it and not sure what to get. They were very friendly and helpful. I had the mixed veg korma. It was outstanding, my 1st vegetarian meal and it was great!! Super happy with everything.

Was the first time I came here today. To start with the options on the menu were very less compared to other restaurants of the same cuisine. Then it took them a long time to come and take our order.... Then the food took like forever and I am not even exaggerating when I say that it took them an hour to serve us food from the time they took our order... And the food wasn't worth the wait.... The salad I ordered came just before we paid the bill. Not a great experience at all.

Great to find a decent Indian restaurant here in Old Saybrook. All vegetarian so missing out on some meat dishes but overall the food was delicious. Best was they were happy to make it spicy! Only thing missing was the red chutney so common in most Indian Restaurants

I dropped in for takeout. All vegetarian which suits me. Food cooked to order. Very nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Will go again but it in.
