The Sheraton Palo Alto is always my favorite hotel when traveling to the Bay Area. The service is friendly, the rooms are all nice, and the hotel itself has a great atmosphere. I especially like that the bathrooms have large glass showers in the rooms. It makes the place feel sophisticated in a way. The hotel bar has a good selection of food and drink, as well. Overall, this is a solid hotel that has never left me disappointed.

Our experience has been all positive. Clean rooms, high quality service, and Amazing bedding. But, the best thing about this hotel is the location. We've walked everywhere, and even caught the train which is just a few minutes away. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

It is now 3:12 in the morning and you may be wondering why I am emailing you with such a subject line.. Well, let me explain: I walked into the Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel lobby to check-in. I handed the man at front desk my ID and credit card. He said he had a room for me reserve and that I would need to swipe my card. I then asked him if it was for the whole room total or just to cover incidentals. He said my reservation said specifically that I was supposed to cover the entire cost of the room, which is not to the case. The room under my name should have already been paid for along with the other rooms that were reserved. I tried, very courteously, to explain my situation to him and how I wasn't supposed to have to pay for the room myself and asked if he could look for some type of paperwork to verify what I was saying, and also how I didn't have a cc to cover the whole expense... and the guy said well.. it's my break time and WALKED OFF!!!! I was left there speechless.. so I called my boss, and gave the phone to the next gentlemen who very reluctantly took the phone and was even more rude and unhelpful than the first gentlemen. After telling my boss that there was no way for me to check-in, I searched and was able to find a credit card to use, all the while being rushed by the guy behind the counter, even thought there was NO ONE BEHIND ME!!! I told the guy I wanted the name of the manager and he said here I'll give you there name and I'll you can even write my name down.. I said " I don't want to write your name down.. it's not worth it." and he says.. "YOU'RE NOT WORTH IT!!" At that point, I told the guy that he was being rude and he then threatened to call the police ON ME!!!! I am highly upset, offended, and feel disrespected by the way I was treated tonight and by the lack of customer service and professionalism that was displayed, and am making this known publicly in order for no one to be treated like this by your staff ever again in the future. And NO, I will NEVER stay at this hotel or do any sort of business here again. Akeem Best - 30 yr. old. African American Male Marketing Professional

Very good hotel. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but still plenty of room for all your stuff. Decor is very nice with lots of wood accents. Bathrooms seem very recently renovated with excellent lighting. Beds are very comfortable and service is good. No complimentary breakfast.

Rooms are modern, staff is friendly, but large portions of the lobby, hallways, and other areas are quite dated. They were in the process of renovating the main restaurant so I can only assume more renovations are coming. Rates were a little high for the overall quality.
