Had a family reunion of about 40 people today in one of the rooms in Sherry's Cafe. We were all impressed with the courtesy of our server; I was told her name is Denise. She was right there with drink refills and bringing out food as it was ready (some items like chicken & chicken livers, fried green tomatoes, etc. were being cooked as ordered). She was efficient and friendly throughout all the craziness of taking care of such a large group. 

The food was some of the best meat & 2/3 I've had in the area. Several of the group commented that it was much better than a previous restaurant we had utilized and I personally thought it was as good as anything I could make in my own kitchen. I had the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and cabbage. While I normally only eat dark meat chicken, they only serve white meat chicken, but as it was freshly cooked, it was moist and delicious. I also ordered a fudge pie that was warm and had a fudge topping with whipped cream. Each of the 8 people at my table tasted it and several asked me if I brought it from home because it tasted homemade.

I was privileged to speak to the owner, Sherry, and she is a warm and interesting hostess! I plan to visit with my spouse soon and we will hopefully be able to meet again as a large group here in the next year.

Wow. Great meat and three with wonderful desserts too. Varied menu with full selection of meats and veggies. Nice tables and comfortable  chairs. Staff was first rate and knowledgeable of their product.
The place was clean and windows clean as well. 
We will be back very soon.

A nice place for generous servings of meats and veggies and home-made desserts at moderate prices.The menu changes daily. You can eat in or order to go from the drive-thru window. The restaurant faces I-59 near exit 143 in Trussville and has ample parking.

Oh, I love cafeterias as those one is my favorite. The food is always so good as the staff is friendly and helpful. My waitress drew hearts on it daughter's and my plate so we could tell them apart. It was so cute!

Was in town visiting and saw this one as a "local favorite" and it did not disappoint!  Cafeteria style, southern cooking with big portions. Delicious!
