I've used Shleppers twice within the last 3 years. Both moves went super smooth. My most recent move was from the suburbs to the city. The movers showed up in the morning right on time and took great care in loading up the truck. My furniture and glass mirrors were wrapped very carefully and were moved without a scratch. Despite the 2 flights of stairs to my apartment the movers worked very efficiently and my move was over before midday. 
In getting quotes for my move I found that Shleppers was by far the most competitive in their fee and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again knowing I'm getting the best possible price for my move. I highly recommend their services!

I've used Shleppers on my last two moves and I will not use anyone else (hopefully I won't move again in a while, but still...) Anyway... I needed to drop my daughter off at school first and they waited, no problem. They were fast, professional, and packed everything with care. The new place has a storage unit downstairs and they went there first. When some of the things they had to take upstairs didn't fit, they took it downstairs. No problem.
Best of all, I got to talk about history books and geek out with the main guy in their team. Moving is a daunting task specially for a single parent, knowing your things are in good hands and having interesting conversations to pass the time certainly makes moving day a lot better.

Terrible service, from customer service to movers.
The sales person does all the possible to sell you in, and you believe you'll have great service.
We hired full packing with move, so the quote was done at our place, after seeing all we have. The movers arrive on the day of packing/moving and give that look "Oh, you have a lot of stuff". 
During packing, they were careful, packed everything but I wasn't happy to see they ate all the chocolates my parents had just brought to me from Brazil, without asking anything. Later on they drank several of my protein shake bottles, again, no asking and laughs while doing thinking I wasn't seeing it. 
When unloading the truck, they were not careful with the new house. Scratches on hardwood floor, holes on walls of furniture hitting the wall, but the worst was a huge hole on my living room rug. I then called the movers lead to see it, he took a photo of it and told me to reach out the company. 
Next day, reached out the company to hear that they had confirmed damage was not caused by movers - the leader showed the photo to them like something he took before the move had started. After many back and forth, the upper management offered me  in good faith $50 for my rug. 
I hated the customer service and support to you as a consumer. I gave over $400 in tip for the movers, I just wish I could cancel and give $0 for acting like I'm stupid. 

Another example of good movers. OZ before loading the truck, they walk with you and count every box and items you have. When unloading, they count again and match. With Shleppers, they take your stuff to the truck, they unload and ask you to check the truck. How can I be sure nothing is missing, if I have no clue what has been loaded into. 

I wish I had decided to go with OZ Movers, which I had used 4x before and never had any issue them.  

Don't use them, even with a lower price, not worth it!

For our company Shleppers are the go to guys for any moving tasks- for our offices, or our personnel. What I like about them is you talk to a person, not a machine, no move is too small or big and their response to changes is professional and uncomplicated. Moving is never pleasant- change and chaos effect personnel and their ability to function, but Shleppers make it painless. The guys they send are great- they work as a team and what I particularity like is they don't skimp on the numbers. There always send more than sufficient labor to move quickly and efficiently- and with the right moving equipment- trolleys and blankets etc. As far as prices are concerned, you get far more than you pay for with these guys. Shleppers rock!

I have used Shleppers twice in New York City and they are great. Show up on time, have a big team to wrap everything, are very quick and efficient in getting things out and have done a great job setting up at my new place. Would not use anyone else to move. Great price and experience and no hassle.
