When you ask for their best item on the menu you expect it to be incredible. But this was the first time it was totally lacking. You could barely taste the oyster as it was so heavily breaded and soaked in frying oil there wasn't much oyster flavor. Even if there was it wouldn't matter much as there was so much tartar sauce too. When I first drove by there was a line of more then 50 people. I knew it had to be popular and tasty but wow... The ketchup was the best tasting thing there. Now, the next popular thing is their fresh shrimp by the pound where you have to peel off the legs, head, and shell (or eat whole if you want) but I'm more of a burger person. I may stop by again and give them a second chance with something else but for now I'll find a new place to eat next time I'm in the area. The staff and atmosphere is great and I like the table and tent setup so at least that part was nice.

Awesomeness all the time. Friendly workers. Best quality shrimp. My family loves them. Was worth the hour drive. I got 10lb, seems a lot but when my family starts eating them we can't stop, ate 7lb yesterday. Shrimp are delicious, I highly recommend to any seafood lover to visit this place.

This place has amazing food. The chowder and the shrimp they sell by the pound are super good and really well priced. The low review is because this place has the most inefficient line I’ve ever seen. They sell out of shrimp really fast and when we went, there were two very large families in front of us and everyone got 5 pounds each, leaving no shrimp for the dozens of people waiting behind them. They also take forever to take and place your order. The grill and shrimp like pretty much don’t move at all.... I just honestly don’t understand why it’s so difficult to take your order and then take the order of the next person. The food is good but the wait is honestly frustrating and not worth it. I’d advise coming half and hour before they open.

Been going there forever. Small roadside restaurant with very little inside seating but nice outdoor covered seating. The only thing fancy about this place is the seafood. Not fancy in terms of presentation or artistic style, just really good, really fresh, really authentic and most importantly really delicious seafood. Mostly fried such as fish and chips, clams and chips, shrimp, oysters and more. If it comes from the sea and they can get it fresh you'll have the opportunity to enjoy it. If they can't assure fresh and top quality, you won't find it there. They are picky and take pride in what they serve. Probably why they have been around 'forever' . So some Saturday or Sunday take highway 20 to a drive deception pass, marvel at the views of the narrows, have a walk to the beach at deception pass state park and then have some lunch at the shrimp shack. It will be a great day!

Food quality is above average, particularly the seafood items. They have a few eclectic items like alligator, but not something I’d order when better food choices are on the menu. The cheeseburger was decent; the blue crab burger was even better, and the fries with both were very good with an extra crunchiness to them that made them different than most others. Many of the menu items are rather messy, which brings me to the shortcomings of the place. Restroom is port-a-potty style & sink is outdoors over a barrel you have to pump with your foot to get water, not ideal by any stretch. So while the food is above average, nothing here is cheap & while outdoor eating has its charm, the rustic feel here is pushed to its limits. I’d go back now & then if in the area & worth a try for anyone at least one, but they definitely have room for improvement.
