Gary Bell, owner of Sierra Ski and Cycle Works, has been renting, selling and fixing bikes, skis and boards in South Lake Tahoe since 1980.
Sierra Ski and Cycle Works (SSCW) has been in the same location next to Safeway in the middle of South Lake Tahoe, since 1980.
SSCW rents, sells and services bikes year round, and is the only Santa Cruz dealer in South Lake Tahoe. You'll find mountain bikes, snow bikes, beach cruisers and road bikes and all the top gear.
SSCW is the place for telemark ski gear, and back country gear including shovels, probes, beacons, skins and ice axes. Headed out? Be safe and know how to use your beacon and gear.
Owner Gary Bell started the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association (TAMBA) in 1988 with two North Shore locals to keep mountain bike trails in Lake Tahoe and Truckee open.
