We absolutely loved camping here! The campground sites are private, the surrounding nature is beautiful. The public restrooms and showers are kept clean. We loved taking our dog on the 13 miles of hiking trails. The beach area is huge plus and there's a separate beach for dogs. The lake was gorgeous. It's a very calm and relaxing park.

Very nice state park. Workers are really friendly and helpful. Campgrounds and restrooms were well maintained...a few more features than some other parks I've camped at. Basketball court, and nice sized playground area for kids. Good bike trails. I lived in Lansing for 10 years and didn't even know this park was that close by...I would've been there probably every weekend... It's not a bad drive from Detroit I'll be back often. It was cloudy the day I was there so not much traffic, but the beach area and general park area are very nice.

Campsites were nice sized, fairly private and mostly shady(which is great for rent campers). Most importantly, the staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. My daughter lost her prized possession, her American doll, and the whole staff was beyond helpful. They even face us paper to make a sign and the photo copied it so we could post them around campground!

We went camping here about 2 weeks before Halloween. It was awesome, trick or treating at the park, rides, events. Awesome time, lots of fun.

Sleepy Hollow is a small, but relaxing state park. It is one of the few located in mid Michigan. The campground is in wooded area where the sites are separated from each other with a good amount of brush/trees. Facilities at the campground are in good working order (showers/toilets). The lake is a short hike or drive away. Most people use the lake for fishing or kayaking, but there is a nice beach area as well for spending a portion of the day. It is not the fanciest state park, but it is convenient if you are not close to the Michigan coast.
