When we opened my daughter new bed it had marks and chunks of wood missing. The customer service center said there was nothing they could do and they were rude. The manager at the store strung me along giving me false hope, only to never get back to me in the end. I guess if you buy furniture here you have to inspect it w/in 5 days, which we didn't do because we were remodeling our daughters room, so we left it in the box for a month. Big mistake!! Over $500 later, we have a damaged bed and there was nothing that could be done! I guess it is a good thing that part is partially covered up by the wall. Very poor customer service!

I bought a very expensive sectional ($3500.00) from Slumberland just over a year ago. First off it took over a month to get the entire thing. Bought it Dec. 4th and didn't have it delivered until the week after new years. We were only able to receive part of the sectional due to the main piece being damaged. We were told that they could fix it once the owner had gotten back from his vacation otherwise it would be at least a month before we could get a new piece. We agreed to give them a chance to repair the piece since the damage looked minor (a broken board). We did ask to get the delivery charge waived since I was now going to have to take another day off of work to actually get my stuff. They refused to do anything to compensate my time that apparently is less valuable then theirs. When it was finally delivered we thought it was fixed. Found out that when it was delivered they didn't even plug in everything underneath. No big deal since I could do that once I figured out what it was. About month down the road my recliner wouldn't actually recline. I had to actually go through the warranty company for the piece since Slumberland wouldn't do anything to fix it even though it was their company that damaged it in the first place. It took 2 visits and an entire new undercarriage to fix it. Now flash forward a year and we move the couch to clean under it to discover that a leg was broken off the thing. Upon further inspection of the leg I noticed that there was about 15 staples holding the leg on (the other legs had about 4). The cushions in the piece that had work done are all messed up and never stay in the place that they should be. I have never had so much regret in buying a piece of furniture from a place in my life and will never buy a thing from that place again. The only reason one star is because you have to give something.

With help from Lonny( who was great with asking us questions about bed styles), my fiance and I ordered a new bed and bedroom furniture set. Great experience overall. Did have some issues with one dresser being bad, the process was a bit of a pain but understandable, Slumberland sent someone out to try to fix, was better but not satisfied, so Slumberland sent us a new replacement with no hassle. Will definitly shop here again.

I PURCHASED A ELECTRIC LOVESEAT FOR $1,000.00 FROM SLUMBERLAND FURNITURE IN WATERTOWN, WISCONSIN THAT CAME TO MY HOME WITH THE PADDING(STUFFINGS) MISSING IN THE COUSHINS. THEY WILL NOT REPLACE IT OR REFUND THE $1,000.00. A DISABLED VETERAN

I spent over $4,000 in furniture purchases in July 2016. It took the Janesville Slumberland over 1 month to deliver the items (mid-August). Once they did deliver the furniture I purchased, half of the items were damaged, and it took them another three weeks to deliver the replacements. I had to call and literally *fight* for them to replace the damaged items; they were not amenable from the get-go. One of the items I ordered was a bed that the website specified would be assembled if one paid the deliver fee; I did pay this fee, but the Janesville Slumberland insisted that they were under no obligation to assemble the item. They did tell me, in a very duplicitous manner, that they would ask their delivery crew to help me assemble the item on their own time, that is, if I was the last delivery stop on their delivery route, but upon delivery (and on the second delivery date, I was, in fact, the last stop), the crew showed me that on their paperwork they had been instructed but the same manager who told me otherwise to *not* help me assemble the item under any circumstances, despite what the manager told me upon purchase. Further still, the bed I purchased was defective, in that one of its drawers would not close (I was told this was a "manufacturer defect"). The Janesville Slumberland at first refused to take responsibility for this defect; after much deliberation, a crew was sent in to try to fix it. When they couldn't, the manager at first refused to return the item. After I fought him on this (again), he did eventually return the bed; however, he would not return or exchange the mattress I purchased for the bed. I am now out $250 dollars for a mattress I cannot use. He told me that he would not return the mattress because I did not purchase mattress protection, but the option to purchase mattress protection was not offered to me at the time of purchase. I have been consistently treated by the Janesville Slumberland staff, and especially but its manager, as someone they are making "allowances" for, indeed, as someone they are making exceptions for, despite the fact that I am a paying customer, like everyone else, and further, am holding them accountable to their own policies. I wonder how much of this has to do with my being a woman of color. Indeed, they refused to take accountability at every step, and only did so after I threatened them with legal action. Please do not buy from these people; do not feed the white entitlement with which they receive their customers.
