If you can go to any other office do so. Even the supervisors do not seem to care about the emotional well-being of individuals. The case manager I had was not helpful or professional. I received a call back from his direct supervisor and now understand how and why the poor treatment of individuals is tolerated by this case worker because his supervisor has a lack of concern as well. I will now be joining advocacy causes to help further support individuals that have to deal with individuals such as the two I dealt with at the Renton dshs office. I am not saying every person that works at the Renton office treats individuals poorly. But sadly it seems as though some "social workers" and their "supervisors" do. The front office staff are great though.

First and foremost this place will waste your time. Even if you are the very first person to arrive upon opening hours, they do not go in order. The people in the back call out random names and they usually start with the people who have just arrived. Not the people who have been waiting for over an hour (me and others). After over an hour of waiting I was denied due income, the person did not apologize for my time nor did he care. BUT it is the only place in renton to get all your documents and everything up to par. I suggest coming here on a day off when you have the entire morning to 2pm free. You will be waiting doing nothing for over an hour.

Worst place to get things done. They don't even take care of child care subsidies and don't have a clue what location does. I don't have time to sit on the phone for hours I want to talk to a real person. This place makes you wait forever which is not easy to do with children

Inhumane.  Waited for two and a half hours then when I finally saw a person they were so rude, then they kicked me out of the office when I complained about being treated poorly.
