I have a great experience. I came here to get more information before I buy a piece of land. The planner was very nice and helpful. She even recommended someone I could talk to about the water line and sent an email that same morning. The person from the other department connected with another to help me. Overall, I really like how supportive his city is for development.

Community planning at the city of Tukwila is very poor. I have to request extension on my addition permit 3 times due to this department taking very long reviewing and getting back to me. The building department is great and functions properly but it gets stuck when it gets to planning. They gave fake due date on the plan that they never respect. For example, I turned in my revised plan on October 19,2017 and the building already approved and passed it to the planning. The due date for both are 11/14/17. Ten days later (11/24/17)I am still waiting. FYI it is only for a minor revision. In addition, they don’t answer to phone calls and emails. When I go to the office for over the counter info, they are not frank. As one of the tax payers in the city, I feel disrespected and my business plan has dragging because of this department. I tried to reach out to the head of building department unsuccessfully. Planning to go the the mayor’s office
