SOMA Therapeutic Massage is a wellness center located at 2260 S Compton Ave, Saint Louis, MO 63104. SOMA is nestled between the historic neighborhoods of Compton Heights and Tower Grove East. We provide a spa like environment and offer so much more than a relaxing massage. Our therapists provide a safe and healing environment. Our clients come from all walks of life with varying health requirements. We partner with several Chiropractors, Physicians, Counselors, Physical Therapists and Personal Trainers to help clients achieve optimal wellness and vitality. SOMA offers therapists that are trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Myofascial Release, Prenatal Massage, Shiatsu, Oncology Massage, Craniosacral, Reiki energy work and the SEATTL Method (Soothing Emotions After Trauma Transition or Loss) especially good for PTSD. Our greatest partnership is with you, the client: we listen and tailor your session to your individual needs, so you can get the most out of each visit to SOMA.

It had been a very long time since I had a massage and the gentleman Bradley was recommended to me by one of my own clients. (hair stylist). The consultation on which areas I needed were precise! The massage was fantastic.  It was exactly what I needed. Bradley did some great deep tissue work which I loved!  Followed by some lighter techniques and some good conversation! I have already booked my next appointment!

I wasn't told up front that my appointment at 12 also included a 18 minute conversation about a form I was to fill out that I really couldn't see. After time spent getting undressed and onto the table it was 12:25.

I assumed was it was a full body massage. Why  would anyone book a massage if it were to be different than that? I was wrong. She spent about 15 mins on my back and while I did say my lower back was bothering me because I sit at work I expected a full body massage. She avoided my hands and feet but massaged one of my legs.

At 1PM prompt she stopped and said the hour was up. That cost $70 since they had a 20% off sale going on. The normal price is $85. At checkout, she turned the screen to me to tip her. I was really disturbed at paying $70 for 35 mins. I was charged $2 a minute. I told her I couldn't afford to tip her. Unbelievable.  
 It was the worst massage I've had in my life and I've had an average of 250.
She also left the roll under my knees before leaving the room. In the past the massage therapist has always removed it. It made getting up difficult for me since I am partially disabled. 

I had booked the appointment with the owner who was very helpful on the phone but I'm going elsewhere.

I have been going to Troy and his staff at SOMA for over a year now, and I highly recommend. The service is courteous and professional, and I always walk away feeling refreshed and relaxed. The newly-renovated space is peaceful and comfortable and helps to enhance the already great overall experience I always have. Definitely five stars all around.

I learned about Troy through a friend and have been going to this place for years. Recently, he has expanded and the space is beautiful. The therapists here (including Troy) are top notch and welcoming. They are incredibly gifted at massage and very attentive. The tables have warmers and every room has hot towels. You must check this spot out, especially, if like me you are an aging weekend warrior. Perfect way to relieve the stress of the holidays.

I have been a client of SOMA for about a year. The facility is very comfortable, nice relaxing music, temperature well controlled (even heated tables). My therapists always asks about problem areas and listens about aches and pains to focus the session.  From the lighting to the music it is an amazingly relaxing experience.  I highly recommend SOMA.
