as far as education goes its pretty average. but as far as activities goes their priorities are wayyy out of wack. the activities section on the homepage is a prime example of how activities such as the tapestry and the band are seldom recognized or cared about. Drama got the front page for getting first at region. this is a great feat and definitely deserves to get recognized. but, the band also got first in state and was one of two bands to go. however, the band never got a picture or a post on the school website, not even an announcement over the intercom. These are peoples dreams and future careers being inspired in the young minds of musicians. but its barely recognized and us members of the band and the tapestry don't feel cared about. this is a terrible job on the school board and a terrible job of the principal. The definition of principal is "the person with the highest authority or most important position in an organization, institution, or group." as the highest member of the highschool, the principal should be doing his best to make the school a place of equal treatment and happiness. Dont get me wrong, he's a great principal and has molded our sports teams into some of the greatest in the state of utah. But our band directors and tapestry directors work their butts off for their students, and earn excellence's and superior's at state. but the school just brushes it off and acts as if these programs just dont matter just because they dont make the sports teams look good. sincerely, Mitchell W.
