First off, I have to say that my daughter absolutely hated school until we found this one. It was a struggle every morning with her making up fake illnesses, and lets not get into the excessive amounts of homework her prior school gave out. (Elementary age) Wasatch Waldorf charter school is a breath of fresh air. It is not perfect, but we love it. If you are considering this school for your child here is a little information that we did not know about prior to enrolling. The school is very low on funds and constantly emails the parents to donate money, goods, or skills (services) for the benefit of the school. Most supplies are the parents responsibility to buy. There are pretty hefty fees fees for middle school students. ($120 and up depending on grade). The schools gymnasium ceiling is unfinished (to me the ceiling in the schools 1st floor main area all looks unfinished but I could be wrong) which makes for an excessively loud games class for the students to endure. The school is trying to find someone to finish the ceiling for free or low cost to make things more comfortable for the students. Teachers rely heavily on parents for field trip transportation. There are fundraisers that help for middle school trips. I like that this school teaches gardening class. My daughter has never been a fan of helping me in our home garden until she participated in various gardening activities at this school. One last comment is that in the upcoming school year, (2018-2019) there will be ad ADDITIONAL 200 students attending this school as approval was granted recently, so if you think the pick up and drop off are congested now, I'm thinking the upcoming school year will be much more. We gladly deal with it and have a good routine like most of the parents do. (there is no bus service.) Despite a few obstacles to deal with, overall we are very pleased with this school.

My son was having issues in the public school so we finally found this charter school which has made such a positive impact not only in his little life, but for our whole family. I am very happy with all of the staff and just could not believe the level of attention the school nurse took while looking over his asthma paperwork. She contacted me to make sure everything was good to go, and even asked if I would have the doctor outline a few things in detail so all staff would have a clear understanding to ensure the well being and safety of my son which was a huge issue for the public school to understand, and this lady so go it!

Such a poorly planned school and location, as so many new charter schools are. The pickup is ridiculous, clogs the road and nearby park. Lazy parents cut through the disc golf park and put their kids in danger of being hit. During school hours they let the kids run into the course and in the path of the players. So dangerous! Parents are probably unaware.

This school saved my kids as I caught them just in time. They were struggling in public school and this school literally saved them from hating their educational experience. Thankyou for that!

Couldn't be happier with this school and their teachers. My daughter loves it and I feel good knowing that she is happy, learning, and thriving at her own pace. Public Schools have sadly lost the big picture and put too much pressure on our little ones these days. They care more about pushing the child to just pass the standardized tests then helping them do their best work and fully grasp what they are learning. The principle of my daughters last school cared more about the drop off procedure in the parking lot and having the children and parents jump through her strict rules then my child actually succeeding. So sad but I am happy we found this place.
