The Southern NH AHEC offers workshops year-round and is approved as a provider of continuing education for both nurses and physicians by the NH Nurses Association and the NH Medical Society, respectively.
Education credits for social workers, registered dietitians, dental professionals and other allied health providers are also available. Continuing education programs are offered in a variety of formats including lunch and learns, in-services, evening presentations and conferences. AHEC offers training on a number of topics: diabetes education, cultural competency, medical and legal interpretation, asthma, HPV, asthma, chronic disease self management and others. Continuing education programs are offered based on needs assessments of Southern NH health professionals.
The Southern NH Area Health Education Center (AHEC) develops, promotes and coordinates community and academic multidisciplinary partnerships for health profession education. Your community AHEC focuses on underserved communities and provides education and training opportunities for students, practicing professionals and members of Southern NH communities.
