Story

Our favorite food experiences have never happened while in the company of ourselves. It’s been surrounded by family and friends. Southern Social is centered around just that; food, family and friends. This is our interpretation of southern cuisine with a progressive twist and many outside influences. We appreciate where food comes from and wholeheartedly believe that our cuisine is only as good as the ingredients we cook with. We are dedicated to serving delicious food and giving the best southern hospitality possible all while you create lasting memories.

Very cool restaurant in downtown Vero with an equally interesting menu. Great selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. Service was great as well. Dirty fries: 9/10 Oh yeah, these were really good. You should probably get these. Pear margarita: 9/10 Very into this drink. Large and not light on the pours. Pork chop, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, peach preserves: 5/10 Not very balanced as every part of the dish was sweet. Country fried steak: 7/10 Large portion. Smashed potatoes were very good.

Delightfully refreshing take on Southern cuisine and hospitality! Refined yet laidback atmosphere. Comfort food with a brain. Cocktails worth a conversation. Knowledgeable and professional service. Can't wait to go back!

The first time I went the food was amazing! I tried the dumpling Mac, the beet salad, asparagus, & the dirty fries. The dirty fries were so good & unique that I decided to order them take-out a few times. Every time I have ordered them as take out they have been downright gross. They're never made like they were the first time I had them, proportion-wise. Worst of all I keep getting nasty, soggy, AND hard fries, (like how are some soggy and some hard??? How do you even??) as if they're literally days old. It's so disappointing! These things were the boooooommmbbb the first time I tried them & now I don't think I'll ever get them again. I don't know if southern social doesn't care about the quality of their to go orders or if they only do their best for first-time visitors, but I'm done wasting my money at a restaurant that picks & chooses when to serve good food.

Nice drink selection, impressive decor and Interesting menu items. Unfortunately I ordered the Brisket fried rice which was just okay and didn't live up to its price tag. My wife ordered the Shrimp and Grits which is a southern classic and figured this to be one if their signature dishes but the unusual red sauce was a bit sour and grit tots lacked flavor.

Delicious food and really good cocktails. Good for the whole family or for a date! Definitely worth repeat visits.
