Dr. Hardin and her staff are amazing. They are very kid friendly, caring, courteous and professional. With all the most up to date equipment. My 5 yr old daughter started her treatment plan today. She was very nervous but did great and she left feeling very proud. Highly recommend!!!

Wow! So we just had our 1st appointment at the Southern Village Pediatric Dentist. WOW. All I can say is WOW- what an amazing experience!!! The exam room is more like a playroom! It's full of toys and kids are encouraged to play while mom and the dental hygienist go over history, patient education, etc. Then parent & dental hygenist (DH) sit on cuboidal stools knee to knee and toddler sits on parent's lap in a hug, then leans back onto a pillow on DH's lap and she examines the teeth. She (both toddler and DH) was soooooooooooo good!! Then DH goes to get the dentist and toddler is encouraged to play/read books with parent. The dentist comes in and is a repeat of earlier exam + cleaning as needed and more parent education (raisins are not great for teeth- sticky). She got a goodie bag with floss picks, toothbrush, and toothpaste. AND a free tee-shirt as a new patient (lime, fushia, or pretty "panther" blue), which she put on immediately. They electronically filed with our insurance for them to reinburse us, but I had to pay upfront (seems to be the way with pediatric dentists). It was $221 for the 40-minute new pt appointment, with $175 for follow-up appointments. Overall it was a GREAT experience and we will be back in August! My daughter is 20 months old with 10 teeth (and 2 about to erupt). All staff was extremely friendly and nice. OH! and they have a tree kids can hang their names on if they were cavity-free! So, so, so impressed and HIGHLY recommend!! As the kids get older they graduate to a open bay (as pictured on the website) with a gorgeous view of southern village (homes, not the public area). Everyone seemed very calm and awesome about everything. I'm going to recommend them to every mom I know! I already did to everyone in her tumbling class afterwards! Great location!!

Just had another great experience here. We brought our three kids in for a routine checkup, including our youngest who was going to the dentist for the first time. All the kids had a good time and were very well taken care of. When we got home our youngest asked if we could go to the dentist again tomorrow :)

My son has autism. We've preciously had great experiences getting his teeth cleaned, but yesterday he was terrified. Dr. Hardin and her excellent staff were so patient with us as we dealt with my son's fear (crying, some screams, even a few hits). They seemed to instinctively know what we needed, before I had to tell them. We made it through the appointment (no cavities!) only because of their kindness. They used soft voices and Dr. Hardin softly stroked his face and talked to him about trains (his favorite). Do you know what we call these people in the autism world? Angels.

Our three kids have been seeing Dr Hardin for the last several years, and we all truly like going to the appointments! The staff are all very friendly and professional; it's clearly a strong team and a very competent, well-run office. Dr. Hardin always takes as much time as needed to chat with me after appointments, and I really appreciate her thoughtful care. Can't recommend them highly enough.
