HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 
The women in the office were very nice when I called. The reviews I read on here made me upset with how people are talking about this wonderful little company. I had a gate put in at the end of our driveway so people would stop coming to our house to turn around. The price was great and the workers were very nice. If I ever need another fence or gate put in I will definitely be using this company.

A difficult fence to build right, but Southgate did an excellent job. The workers really knew their stuff. I'm a satisfied customer and would recommend them for future work

I love this company! My husband recently passed away and I sold the house. Now I am up to my neck trying to find information to offset a capital gains tax after improvements made to the property for over 50 years. Yesterday I e-mailed Southgate in the hopes they had a record of the work they had done. I had sketchy information, and you know how fast time goes and the years roll by. I got a call from Brenda today and she was on a mission! This marvelous lady went through records in two buildings trying to find the needed information. While we were on the phone, she found it but it was 4 years back from when I thought it was done! The fencing looked as good when I left it as when it was installed. The staff and workers were great, polite, efficient and the price was right. I would recommend Southgate to anyone who needs their services. Thank you, Brenda, for a job well done in finding the information and for your friendly attitude!

Called weeks in advance to inquire about fence installation at a new home I was purchasing in shelton.  She told me I had to wait 3 weeks just for the guy to come out and do the estimate, then another 2 weeks before the install.  I told her I wanted to schedule an estimate and she put me down on their calendar and said they would call the day before to confirm.  Three weeks later and no call the day before.  I had to drive 1.5 hrs to the new home just for this estimate so I wanted to make sure he would be there.  I called the morning of the estimate and verified with him on the phone the appointment time and he said he would see me then.

NEVER showed up.  NEVER called.  NEVER texted.  NADA.  Since this is the way they conduct their free estimates, I surely wont be giving them any of my money.

We recently had South Gate put a fence around our garden area.  I was unable to get other local fencing companies to return a call to set up a time for an estimate, so I was hopeful that South Gate would do a good job.  Ed promptly sent and estimate and notified me on when the fencing would be done. When the gates were delayed at the powder coaters shop (which is a subcontractor and out of South Gate's control), they let me know that they would be back as soon as possible to install the gates.  They completed the fence shortly after that.  
The crew that came out were very kind and helpful, explaining the process and where things would be to ensure the fence would be placed as I wanted it.  They even moved a couple of the post holes at my request.  The end result is a sturdy, attractive fence that will keep deer out of our garden.  Thank you!
