About

Great place to tent, rent a lodge or cabin, or to bring your rig: Big or small. Good TV reception and WiFi and we love pets, kids, and well, adults too.

Story

Our campground is located on 50 acres in the beautiful upstate region surrounded by farms and green rolling hills.
The area offers history, arts, crafts, food, nature, and family fun. The disadvantage of the green rolling hills is that our sites are not perfectly level.

We're BIG RIG friendly, with great pull-thru's. No RV? No problem. We have cabins and lodges and plenty of tent sites too. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate horse trailers.

Just a few miles away, you can visit a unique South Carolina town, Cowpens, for antiques, farmer's market, and French food. If you are a history buff, visit the Cowpens National Battlefield, site of the pivotal battle of the American Revolution, as well as King's Mountain Military Park. Shop the Gaffney Outlet Shops for great bargains or bowl, watch a movie, or play games at the Big E, all just a few miles from the campground.

Enjoy a leisurely walk on our hiking trail and then stop by to see our goats and chickens before you turn in for the evening.

Charlotte, Greenville, and Asheville (home of the BILTMORE), NC are only an hour away from the campground, so don't get stuck in the hustle and bustle of the city life.

I was stopped by the "KOA Police" on his golf cart which was the owner because I went down a road that was I guess was "restricted". I didn't see any sign. I guess he does not allow you to explore the campground. VERY, VERY rude. I was told to leave and not come back. DON'T WORRY!! There is no reason to treat people the way I was treated and talked to. Looking at other reviews sounds like this campground is heading for failure. Really needs to get back to its roots.

I we my husband and I occasionally stay at KOA. We spent the weekend at the local race track. Need to dump before heading to our next stop. Last year we had paid$10 to fill our water and dump at this campground. NOTE {Thanksgiving we paid 5.00 at the Charlotte motor speedway resort to dump and fill up water} So we take the 10 mile drive from Gaffney pull in the lady informs me the owner doesn't want people who don't stay to use their dump. So instead of posting on Sandi dump registered guest only he wanted$45.00 to dump. WHAT!!!! I'VE PAID 5-15 DOLLARS but there is no way on this green earth would I ever pay $45. I turned and walked out . Warning people don't bother the new owners have turned this into a snooty campsite. We have been to 18 states and more campgrounds in the last 6 years as we are full time rvers, but this is literally highway robbery. There are better friendlier campgrounds than this KOA.

This KOA Campground itself is clean with shady spacious sites and nice amenities and would ordinarily have had a favorable review; however, the gravel roads needed grading and several of the sites were very uneven. Ours (site #60) was terrible. We had to stack several wooden blocks under the jacks to get close to level which left our front tires almost 10 inches off the ground. Literally, we had to push the picnic table up close enough to the door so we could climb in and out of the coach. To get in, you had to step up on our small footstool to reach the bench of the picnic table, then step up from the picnic table to the bottom step of our Motor coach. Scary and seemed unsafe. They did offer a move to another supposedly flatter back-in site but we were in the Camp Freightliner classes so not there during the right hours of the day to move. When our fellow classmates saw it, they were horrified. May stay here again in order to have service at the nearby Freightliner shop, but only if there is nowhere else. That site should not be offered to anyone.
