This place is probably the best kept Indian secret in Valley Village. The food is delicious and the service is quick. I don't often go, but the lunch buffet is affordable and tasty. The real experience is dinner, when the dishes are prepared individually. My favorite is definitely the chicken tikka masala (ordered medium spicy) on white rice. It's tangy, simple, and filling. The saag paneer is also a winner. This place could probably use a face-lift. The strings of icicle christmas lights and unsecured TV's on the wall could stand to go, but overall this place feels homey and relaxed.

My experience with this spot is comical if not a bit sad. The food is reasonably priced and tasty though a bit inconsistent at times. The service, on the other hand, is another story. Like the owners of this establishment, my family is also from the Indian subcontinent. The lady who helped me (who I assume is Nadia) asked where I was from. I said I'm born and raised here in the States, but my folks are from India and Pakistan (Delhi and Lahore). She immediately launched into a tirade about the atrocities Pakistan committed against Bangladesh. I tried to be understanding and sympathetic (that war was brutal and horrible and most of the atrocities were committed by Pakistan) but she wouldn't let go of it. Super awkward. I mean my folks moved here in the 1950's. What am I supposed do? I said Salaams a few times which she refused to respond to and got the heck out of there. Funny, sad and really awkward all at once. Maybe Nadia is just a character. She reminds of some insufferable auntie who happens to cook well. I'll probably go back. The lamb was exceptional this time around hahaha.

The food at the resturant is excellent. Very good quality food. Very nice and clean store. This place has excellent service. I prefer this indian shop than any other. Over there is like heaven

Surprisingly a great find! One of the best authentic Indian restaurants in the Bay Area!! Great ambience, extremely friendly servers and delicious food! Dal makhani, bhindi, malai kofta and vegetable pakore were a few of my favorites! Definitely going there again soon! And highly recommend this place for good Indian food!
