My husband and I really enjoyed this RV park. It was full but was not loud and all guest were polite and respectful of one another. The facilities were well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the sound of the river and seeing all the elk in the evening. There were plenty of activities for families even though we did not use them. They offer full hook ups with a dump station and maintenance constantly checked in picking up trash and helping visitors. We definitely will be back for another great weekend! Thank you!
We rented a cabin for the weekend and we were a bit disappointed. The cabin came with nothing- no linens, towels, plates, cups, etc, which we knew ahead of time so we brought all of our own stuff but for the price I would expect more provided. The cabin was pretty dusty, most of the blinds were broken, it was extremely hot in our cabin as there is no AC and seemed to be no insulation, the pool was supposed to be heated but was very cold, the wifi didn’t work and overall, the grounds seemed to be a little run down. Also, the spots are very close to one another. Our kids did have a fun time fishing in the pond, but it cost $15/child/day which seems unnecessary considering the cost of the stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had an after hour issue and someone came over right away. We did get to see elk that came on the park in the evening. We probably wouldn’t stay again or recommend to friends.
Not great, the only thing going for it is location. Bathhouses are uncleanly, mainly the showers. Be careful wandering around the campgrounds as animal poop is quite literally everywhere. To top it all off, the WIFI INTERNET CONNECTION DOES NOT WORK. Be warned. Also, worth noting they charge extra for a parking spot that we already had room for. So, not exactly customer friendly either.
We stayed here while visiting RMNP and Estes. It's a nice basic campground. They have showers, laundry, playground, a pool, dog park, a big pond for fishing, and miniature golf. The ladies at the front desk were friendly when we called to make reservations and when I went into the store to buy ice. There is a grocery store walking distance from the campground. I personally enjoyed being so close to the national park and not being too close to downtown Estes, which was under construction.
We had a great time over 4 th of July 2024 at spruce lake rv resort! The site was clean and has a beautiful view of the big Thompson river. They picked up bagged trash daily and the people that work in the office were helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay there again!Service: 5/5
I will a first start this review off with saying that the park is very very clean. I give the employees a 10 for that. All the amenities are also very clean like the pool area and such. BUT and yes there is a but lol I had 2 issues while I was there. 1 is just standard campgrounds today. Your packed in like sardines. When I backed it I was 2ft away from people behind us. We sat on the picnic table and can watch his tv all night and of course he kept it really loud. So that kind of sucked. But here was my biggest issue I was going out in the local area shopping and I went to the office to ask if I can stage my camper somehow out of the way for about 3hrs. Office girl said there is no place for me to do such a thing as I pointed her out several areas that I could park and be completely out of the way and she still said no. I then asked her if my site is booked for that day and said also said no not at all. So I asked her why couldn’t I just stay in my spot all closed up for a couple of hours. She went out back and spot to some cowardly owner who wouldn’t come out to the front desk to speak to me face to face and they still said no. I find these people are just not very nice at the end of the day. They do nothing to help there customers out even if it doesn’t even cost them anything. So sad. Now they can have this bad review. Just beware. Not very nice people here.
Pretty location however, there is ZERO shade! No trees and no canopies allowed!!! It is 81 degrees at 10:00 in the morning and our site is like being in the desert! Feels more like 110! Even with our awnings out it gives us about 2 feet of shade. MISERABLE!! Not a sole in sight because everyone is hiding in their air conditioned campers! One tree by the lake with shade. This is a prime example of greed… pack em in like sardines!! ZERO PRIVACY! Too many “rules” Before we were even set up, one of the workers came to our site “don’t put up your awnings as we have wind bursts, don’t put up that canopy they aren’t allowed, no pellet grills, no free standing hammocks or otherwise and can you move your cars???” We hadn’t even disconnected the fifth wheel from the truck yet!!! Disgusting!!! The only reason I gave this a two star was because their shower rooms are nice and clean. Otherwise, As adults , you should have the option to put up a conopy for shade and be responsible for putting it down if it gets windy!! Make people sign a waiver or something, but NO SHADE AT ALL is completely ludicrous!!! We will absolutely NOT return to this campground!! There are no photos of the RV sites on their website for a reason!!! And… the pool is ICE COLD!!! Skip this place and book at Jellystone of Estes Park! It’s beautiful, lots of trees, privacy, family activities, and mostly…. not so many ridiculous rules!! FYI.. I am not affiliated with jellystone in any way
I called ahead to ask for a 2-day early arrival and she was adamant that nothing was available, so I reserved a place an hour away from Estes Park. She called back moments later to offer me an early arrival after I was locked into another place. She was adamant nothing was available. After we arrived 4 days into our 7-day stay my wife was diagnosed with a serious infection at the Estes Park Urgent care. We had to leave to get home before it worsened and asked for a refund/credit for the unused days. She said no way, sorry. Even though we presented documentation, she wouldn't budge. No humanity in this place.
Nice location but they need to put in more rock. It is very muddy when it rains. It looks like they do not ever do any improvements. They do not put money into any updates. The wifi is terrible and even trying to use your cell phone is frustrating. You have to get timed passes for the NP but the internet does not have work to go online to get tickets. We had to go to McDonalds to use their wifi so we could get timed entry passes. They are very hateful when you bring this to their attention. We left a day early since we need internet when we travel. They need to not be greedy and improve their campground. I felt they are taking advantage because of their location.
RV Resort? Then why are the sites stacked on top of one another? Why is the pool tiny? Where are the amenities? A putt-putt course that looked great in the 60's and a trout pond you have to pay for. Water pressure was abysmal. And when we checked in we inquired about Wi-Fi and were told they have it but don't actually believe your going to use it. No cable no TV reception. For 100 bucks a night excuse me if I expected more. If RMNP wasn't around the corner this place would have gone under a long time ago.
