Spent one night here. Nice place. Lots of rules but I understand why they have them. Yes, you set your trash out to be picked up and no dumpsters means bears don't get free meals. No, you can't work on your car there. But that is so the next people don't have to step in your oil spill or grease and your not polluting the ground. I thought it worth the price. Water electric sewer and tv, nice employees. Nice clean place with a lot of spaces and can take on large campers and motor homes. Very pet friendly.

This was the worst campground ever! 1 star is too much! We arrived here after hours and got our campsite info out of a mailbox. Easy enough..... so we go to our sight and hook up. Get settled in, cook supper and go to bed for the night. The next morning we wake up and exit the RV, to let the dogs out, when a golf cart pulls up to our sight. A very rude man gets off the golf cart walks up to us and starts barking orders at us. He doesn't say good morning, he doesn't introduce himself as being staff of the campground or even give us his name. He insists that we are pulled into our spot wrong and need to turn the RV around. That the small dogs we had couldn't be out of the camper on a leash unless I was holding it in hand. Also that the pop up canopy we had staked into the ground, to keep the sun off my boyfriend who has skin cancer, had to be taken down. They weren't allowed in the campground. My friend try's apologizing and he snapped at her that it's all in the rules in our packet. After speaking with the manager, who just made excuses for his rude employee, he came out and figured out that we were in our spot right and his employee was wrong. But said employee never got back off his golf cart to apologize. Instead sat on it, off in the distance, observed and then drove away. To top it all off you're not even allowed to have camp fires in this campground! Don't waste your time or money here! Needless to say we didn't stay another night. Yogi Bear park 13 miles up the road made accommodations for us and they had a sold out park! Ranger Rick put us in their family/owner sights and rented us a golf cart. And we could have a camp fire ☺️

There is a charge for everything!!! Not one thing is "free". If it wasn't for the proximity to RMNP. That's the only reason to stay there. Very inhospitable.

The campground is just on the west side of town with beautiful views of the mountains. The road in is wide, once inside the park some of the turns are tight. There are over 100 sites with various hook ups. The sites are back-in and wide but fairly short, we saw a number of people having difficulties backing into some of the sites. There is a picnic table and ours had full hook-ups, 50 amp and good water pressure. We were in site #20. There is a pool, fishing pond, swimming pool and a play ground. The WiFi did not work at all even though the signal pole was at the back of our RV. Our Verizon signal was strong and our MiFi worked well. We stayed July 3-July 10, 2017 and paid $66.49 a night, with our Good Sam discount, the highest we have ever paid. You are minutes from downtown and the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Just don't do it. You may tell yourself the reviewers are being unreasonable in some of these negative reviews but we aren't. The sites are wide, but the campground is basically a parking lot. The river is nice and location is convenient to town, but the management is not great. We traveled for 6 months in our camper moving weekly and this was our first experience with not being able to have packages delivered. I can understand why they don't accept parcels, but for the half and full time campers like me this is important. Also they just are not nice. They have a detached blandness/blankness that gave me the impression I was not important, or that people like me (campers) are troublemakers, hence all the "RULES". The laundry machines are expensive an not good, and I was shorted $10 when I got change for the machines from the office. I didn't notice til the next day and called. Lady answered and said yes they were short, she would have the owner call me. Even though most in the office knew I had been shorted because I went in a multiple times to collect, they would not give me the $10 unless the owner was present and agreeing. So I think the problem is the manager and the rigidness in which they run the place. I guess they can do that if we all keep coming and giving them our money. Think twice...
