A historical research and archival resource center
SCCHS is dedicated to preserving the history of the county, through its photos, documents, artifacts and oral history. We maintain an archives that serves as a research center for anyone wanting to research local history or their own family history. Our mini-museum has a great exhibit on the Civil War, and we have great events for history lovers of all ages.
Preserving our History and Genealogy
Archives has thousands of County records, Circuit Court Records, manuscripts, photos, church records and obituaries. We maintain a database of St.Charles County families with over 75,000 entries. We have a library with over 1100 volumes on local history.
