Like any hospital, your experience can be good or bad. My chief complaint is that when accompanying someone to the hospital at 3 A.M., or waiting for several hours, if you need coffee or a bite to eat after hours of waiting, the only optiona are vending machines. I didn't have change or dollars. Hopefully by now this has been remedied and you can use a debit or credit card in the machines. The coffee shop doesn't open until 6 A.M.

It infuriates me when I read negative comments about St. Clair. They are thorough and kind and helpful. Everyone I speak to tells me the same thing. Get real. They are dedicated and knowledgeable. Come on, people, who have been there. Put in your two cents worth and even this out !

Staff is super friendly, but the Doctor paid no attention to my sick mother. He was on his phone the whole time while she was telling him what was wrong. We've been here for over 2 hours and counting which all they did was take her blood pressure, blood sugar, and gave her an IV and a bag of fluids. That's all they could do for her with her sickness. Dissapointing hospital service. They aren't even busy also.

Some of the reviews on here make me laugh like they think hospitals function like a GetGo and everything is supposed to be speedy and "me first now". That's not how it can work.. step a day in the life of anyone has worked in healthcare and you will know it isn't like a department store or restaurant. Some people. I've had nothing but positive experiences with St. Clair. They were the ones to diagnose me with my ailment whenever upmc, Allegheny health network and heritage valley could not. St Clair has the docs who got to the problem, even were amazed how my former docs totally dismissed such fundamental tests. Also, st Clair staff has always been professional and cordial towards me.. another plus is I've never had a nightmare experience yet with their billing as they clearly have competent people who know what they're doing.

Completely incompetent staff. Was continuously lied to while everyone we meet passed us on to another department and blamed each other. Was a true amateur hour.
