I had my son at St John's medical center in September 2017. I am finally getting his birth certificate today. the person in charge misspelled my husband's last name and when I went there to check on that, she blamed me for the mistake, she was rude. Then she realized it was her fault and did not apologize. Well, she said she was going to get it fixed and she never did it. I had to pay extra to get the birth certificate fixed.

Complete and utterly useless security personal...a very trying and upsetting experience....my father in law is laying on his death bed. All the family is there taking turns in the icu unit....and one younger family member stepped out after hours to smoke. He walked through security to get out to smoke but then was not allowed to return for failure to have the proper id. After an hour of trying to talk to 2 different security guards. I was threatened and then left with no answers as a door was slammed in my face. Suffice to say we simply by-passed security and opened an exit door to allow the family member in. Unbelievably rude and power tripping guards who basically completely failed to secure anything and could care less about what others may be going through.

Staff went out of their way to make me comfortable. They were very personable and caring with my family as well.

My wife and I are very pleased with the way that they treated my mother Stephen my mothers nurse was absolutely amazing she requested to have just him while her stay at the hospital on the 10th floor

Came in at 8:15 a.m. for a surgery that takes 1 hour... it is now 315 p.m. and still waiting on an anesthesiologist to sign my wife out. She has been out of surgery for 2.5 hours now. What a joke. You have to be them for an update. Rude staff, way too long wait time... Do not come here for anything, EVER. Do yourself a favor and go to Hillcrest, right down the street. What a terrible day. Thanks St. John's for making this a terrible experience. Also, now, my wife's grandfather is here with pneumonia and dementia. They have told us he is dying basically. He is in pain, it's obvious from the look on his face. And is uncomfortable, as he has those mitts that they put on to keep them from touching anything. We have asked for pain meds to at least make him comfortable. They gave him a tiny dose, and said they couldn't do more bc it could kill him. He is dying, but u can't make him comfortable, for fear of him dying. I would want to be comfortable in my last days. Terrible treatment of a great man and veteran. Just wanting him to be comfortable, but that is apparently bot this hospitals "policy." I will never come here, and neither will anyone in my family. Making a really hard situation harder and worse on the family. To have to see a loves one in pain, and being told they cant/won't do anything about this. Medical care in this state and country is disgusting. It is all run by Insurance companies that only care about money, and not your quality of life. Profits and liability over patient care. So sad...
