For my first time trying this place the presentation and atmosphere was good but a little disappointed in the taste. My husband and I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and it came to the table steaming hot but hard as a rock, not soft and fluffy like scramble eggs should be. They should tell people that the sausage is organic it has a weird taste. I hate to say it but it had like a vomit taste. Then no one came back to the table for refills or see if we needed anything, we had to try and stop someone to help us. Not sure if we'll go back, but if so we'll just try the chicken and pancakes, hopefully the chicken taste good because the pancakes were great I guess because that's their specialty.
Decided to be spontaneous with my wife and finally try this place. I had heard that it can be busy so we went early. Staks delivered on the food with an amazing variety and everything taste as good as it looked. My Memphis omelet was unique and packed with flavor. The biscuits and gravy were exactly how I like them but the show stopper was the cinnamon roll pancakes. These are a addicting combination of sugar icing and powerful cinnamon flavor wrapped in fluffy pancakes. I'm definitely making Staks a routine breakfast place now.
Used the Yelp app to get on the waitlist, got to the restaurant to check in and waited about 20 minutes to be seated. I had a 1yo with me, and the staff was amazing and friendly towards us even as my child made his mess. Staff and service was great. Food wait times were good as well. Pictured is blueberry French toast with sweet potato fries and kids meals: French toast sticks and Kid breakfast.
Arrived and there was about a 30-40 minute wait. Hostess was nice and explained the wait times and where to go to keep warm. Cashier took our order and was super friendly. Good came out pretty quickly and was hot. Overall I enjoyed everything and will be back to visit soonFood: 5/5
Food was delicious! Staff were friendly and very helpful. Luckily we were able to get on the waitlist before we made it to the restaurant otherwise the wait was going to be an hour Sunday morning.
It's ALWAYS a 5 when I visit Staks! We held my daughter's 30th Birthday in June 2021; the Staff was PHENOMENAL! Cliff, Bryce, Bryan, Will, goodness, I can't remember Everyone's name, sorry. But I wish I'd taken pictures every time I've been back since! The food is FABULOUS and the staff, SUPERIOR! It's a wonderful dining experience.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
I loved the East Memphis location. Super disappointed I ordered egg whites, spinach with turkey sausage you know to eat healthy. My food came out with sooo much oil on it. Like the poured 1/2 cup of vegetable oil on top of the whole plate before they served it. I used 3 napkins to try to salvage the food and rescue it. My hands were completely shiny with oil. I never return food but I debated doing it. I realize now I never got my sausage either. Such a bad experience. The cashier was nice though and coffee was good, so I had that. Come on Staks
Just ok I'm opinion. Midly overrated. Nothing blew my mind. Great service overall. Food was good. They should bring all your food at one time. Instead they brought my pancakes last after I'd already finished everything else. Needless to say I was stuffed. Will repeat tho.
The breakfast quesadilla with a side of chorizo spicy was delicious. I enjoyed the environment and the waitstaff was friendly. 4 stars due to the fact they don't serve your party all at the same time but as the food comes up. Some us had been eating for 5 minutes before the last person got their food.
Came here with a friend, July 31, as we’ve both never been and wanted to try their breakfast. We arrived at 10AM I placed our names on their waitlist, checked in, and told that we would receive a text message when our table was ready. We only had to wait 10 minutes before the text message came through and we went inside to order. *Be sure to utilize the waitlist if you’re not wanting to wait a long time for a table* We looked over the menu and went to the registers to order. I ordered a short Stak w/strawberries on top and an omelette, that I customized on my own, with a side of chicken sausage. For my drink, I had water and a cranberry mimosa. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits topped with a fried egg, spinach with water and a pineapple mimosa. The pancakes was just ok but the strawberries were fresh. They did give 2 syrups and it was needed as 1 would not have been enough. The omelette was tasteless even with the veggies in it. I had to add salt and pepper to even enjoy eating the omelette. Thankfully I had a side of salsa which was good to eat with the omelette. The chicken sausage tasted ok nothing else to mention on that. The mimosa was good but the glass was fairly small for the amount you pay. My friend did not like the shrimp and grits as they were undercooked I tasted and they were crunchy and surrounded in a visible broth. The fried egg needed a little more time, as well, so she returned the meal, for another bowl grits and eggs cooked longer, but was told that the meal would come out the EXACT same. She decided to order their BLT with a side of hash browns but instead of receiving their BLT on the menu, she received a PLAIN BLT.. just bacon, lettuce, and tomato. That sandwich tasted how it looked... SAD. She did enjoy her hash browns and mimosa, though. We definitely won’t return to Staks as we was very underwhelmed but.... try it out for yourself.
