Came here for the first station couple days ago. Pretty simple set up. Just a large room with a help desk, lots of seating space, and a counter where you can buy snacks and drinks. A person announces on the loudspeaker how much time until a train is arriving and when you should go outside to board, so you probably shouldn't have your headphones in when you're waiting. Not the most well-kept place, but that's not really a problem. There's also construction going on at this station currently, so be aware of that.

This station is old, dirty, torn seats, some patched with duck tape. This station needs Updates from Amtrak. There are two outlets in the entire station and one of those is outside. The restrooms are closed and “temporarily outside” in 30 degree weather how accommodating . Amtrak, you need to fix this. You’d get no stars from me if this site would allow it .

It took the staff at the ticket counter 5 minutes to sell one ticket. It was unbelievable. We have traveled by train a lot, but had never seen such slow service at the ticket booth. We arrived 10 minutes before train departure, had three people in front of us in line and would be late for the train if it didn't arrive 10 minutes behind the schedule. The boarding was smooth and professionally organized.

In January and February upon arrival (2 times) and departure (2 times) construction comes were in many handicapped spaces preventing parking. Additionally, the taxis blocked access to the remaining spaces. This situation renders the lot inaccessible to handicapped parking!

Station looks like it did in 50s, with out any upgrade. Old, dirty, torn seats, some patched with duck tape. This station deserves some TLC from Amtrak, and is an embarrassment to Richmond. How is it Wilmington, DE has a nicer station when the city is so much smaller. Amtrak, you need to fix this.
