So ghetto and unprofessional. Supposed to come at 8am came at 8pm. When asked to speak to boss his name was inappropriate and slang in their phone . They asked us how long it would take. Got no discount for them being so late. They contract out to ppl who rent their own trucks. So slow. Expensive for no reason. Never again. Don't waste your money. They even asked where our boyfriends were. I said I don't know why you are worried about boyfriends you should focus on moving things.

Starving Students gave my credit card information to a third party without my knowledge causing fraudulent charges. The movers were 1 1/2 hours late. The moving company they contracted (Prestige Movers) were dishonest and broke many items from miss handling and packing. I talked to a representative of Starving Students on the phone and she was very disrespectful, would not listen to my complaint, talked over me and would not answer the simple question if or why Starving Students would give my credit information to a 3rd party. VERY DISSATISFIED!!!

They were stalling so hard it wasnt even funny. Kept trying to talk to me, etc. They also brought a super small truck. It took them just shy of 9 hours to move a 850sq feet apartment with no couches or large appliances! That's with me doing about 40-50 percent of the work helping them! Both of them were "wore out" and red inbthe face 30 minutes in. Never again, them nor their sub contractor prestige / star moving.

I cannot give this company a good review at all. First off, they contracted out the work to another company that didn't do the best job at all. I paid over $800 to move a little more than half of what I wanted. They had 2 rooms written down, when I told the lady on the phone 2 bedrooms, living, kitchen, and dining. 

What boiled my blood was that I helped the movers move. I've used movers before, and they were professional, fast, and and easy with the furniture. Again, I cannot recommend this company at all. The prices are very high compared to others I've used before. I moved the rest of my home much faster than the movers. It's clear they work slower to tack money on, I saw that.

I should have read the reviews before I hired this company. I had hired them before about three years ago and I didn't have any crazy issues so I thought it would be a similar experience. 

I called Starving Students to give feedback and ask for help after having a really bad experience. They clearly didn't care and were very rude. They said they would have another supervisor call me back but they never did. 

The reason the move was awful was because:
* The on site quote was double what they quoted me over the phone. 
* They came three hours late
* They were incredibly slow
* They got lost because they put the address into google maps incorrectly and I was charged for that time
* They ruined carpets by tracking mud on them
* They stepped all over drapes with muddy shoes
* They tracked dog poop through my house
* They broke things
* They scraped our living room floor
* They took personal phone calls while working
* They didn't bring moving equipment except a dolly they used sparingly 
* They were so slow I ended up helping them unload
* It cost $900+ to do this move, this cost me $400-500 in the past... same stuff. 
* They brought no food or water, ended up feeding them so they didn't go even slower
* Couldn't read the labels to figure out where to put stuff so I had to direct them for every box
* They were carrying small items and single boxes in at a time
* I ended up getting on the truck and helping them

Please save yourself a headache and don't use this company.
