Ah, the famous cement dome in Yakima, Washington! Most folks in the area have many a special memory in this place. From Sun King's basketball, to graduations, to Bridal shows, the central Washington state fair, central Washington comic con and a myriad of other events most people in the area have memorable experiences here. The surrounding area is probably not a place you want to be wandering around late at night, but the actual grounds are plenty nice. Parking is ample, always a bit more expensive than it seems like it should be, and tends to be a bit odd on the amount that was charged. The last time we came over here, we were charged eight dollars for parking... Within the past few years they've done a nice job of starting to attract more national talent to come perform here, including some acts aimed specifically at the Hispanic community. There have been a number of big-name acts that of come through and drawn really solid crowds. It's nice that they're able to diversify a bit! In the coming weeks, the Yakima Sunkings, a developmental basketball league team, will be returning and will make the SunDome their home. It's exciting to have another option for family centered entertainment in the area. All in all, it's not the prettiest place to look at, but it's very functional and has fostered a lot of good entertainment coming through the area.

The Yakima Sundome is hosting several FIRST Robotics FRC competitions this month. They host another coming up on 3/23/18 And 3/24/18. These events are facinating! The whole family will love it. It is colorful, well managed, exciting, televised, well narrated so you understand whats going on, and full of music! If you are in Yakima this Friday or Saturday, go see it.

Not a park a park is Summer with picnic tables and you can go for free everyday bring your kids and family and have a barbecue you can't do that here it cost you money but it is a very nice Fairgrounds but not a park

Iconic location. The fair in the fall is always good. I was recently there for a wedding which is a new option. Was a great venue in one of yakimas most historical buildings.
