This hotel was in a great location within walking distance of many federal buildings, decent food, and many of the sights. I stayed here in mid-February of this year when it snowed. I was very pleased with the room layout and cleanliness, the full kitchen, the quality of the food at the onsite restaurant, and the professional and friendly staff. I also liked that they still have some older objects throughout the hotel like that mail chute. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there are 2 entrances, 1 for each tower, but you can only check in at the main entrance on E Street. I will definitely stay here again, and be sure to be dropped off at the correct entrance when I arrive.

I enjoyed my stay at the state plaza. It is centrally located, I can walk to nearby shops and attractions as well as to the closest metro - foggy bottom station. The room (especially the bathroom) is very clean. Housekeeping would clean the room everyday- including towel replacement and washing your dishes (as my room has a kitchen). They also provide 2 free bottled water everyday. I've also used the fitness center - it is small but has everything you need - weights, flexing machine, elliptical, treadmill etc. Importantly, the staff members are very lovely. They greet you along the corridors and lobby with a smiling face. I definitely highly recommend this hotel.

Quiet, upscale place. On the small side, but nicely well-appointed. Not handicap accessible—you have to climb a set of stairs off of the lobby to get to the elevators, and we didn't see any ramps or signage indicating an accessible route. Consider parking your car elsewhere, because otherwise you can look forward to paying them upwards of $45/day for the privilege. Otherwise, service was good. The valet fetched our vehicle quickly.

Great location for seeing the sights. 10min walk to Lincoln memorial and can then head across to Washington monument, Whitehouse, the mall, etc. Nearest metro is also only 10min walk. Georgetown is only a $7 uber ride away. The hotel is a nice 3star facility. I got a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was very big, with its own kitchen and lounge areas. The staff were very polite and helpful.

Dated, but very well maintained. Garden Cafe very nice free breakfast first day of two day visit. Parking $46. Easy walking to Kennedy Center and abundant restaurants. I'd stay again.
