Now that the dining area is open my daughter and I had to check it out. Before you sit down you have to order via kiosk. There are 4 kiosks and only one takes cash. The order process was very easy and most everything was customizable except for the shakes. After paying for the order and sitting down I believe we only waited 3 or 4 minutes and our order was ready. They don't bring the food out to you, there is a pickup window. Our burgers, fries, and onion rings were perfect so I think the whole experience of going to Steak and Shake is better than it used to be. Pretty much the only contact you have with the staff is when you pick up your order at the pickup window.

This was my first time back since Steak ,'n Shake locked the doors and put their employees out of a job. We we're not happy about that and had no desire to eat there because of what they did to the employees. This was also just before Covid-19. This time I went thru drive thru. I prefer to go in, the food is always fresh and hot when it's brought to the table. Going thru drive thru the food was not as fresh as eating in.

I haven't been there for awhile but, everything was great. The food was good and the place was very clean.  The people working were very nice too.Food: 5/5

Why is there no longer customer service? This particular restaurant  had closed during the pandemic and recently reopened under new ownership. We walked in, sat down and were never greeted or given menus although there were probably 7 employees that saw us. I proceeded to place an online order and decided to let the manager know about everything.  Apparently there are kiosks at the front of the store which is where we should've placed our order she pointed to a sign that was at the front of the store but had been turned around so that when coming in there was no way to read it. She took my name and would let us know when the order was ready. We got our food minus our shakes which I assumed they were making. It became obvious that wasn't the case because we were just about done when my husband went to the counter to ask about them...they were in their holding freezer the whole time. Needless to say that even though our food was hot, we won't be going back ever. In the past, this store would've been full to capacity with waitresses/waiters taking care of customers but on this day there was only us and one other couple. As we were getting ready to leave, an older man came in with his 2 grandsons. It's funny how the employees were quick to help him use the kiosk. If they had helped us when we got there, this would've been a much better review.

Absolutely disappointing, everything was made wrong, even if there was no special request the burgers still would’ve been skimped on product & made incorrectly. What was worse is they weren’t even busy.

The food was amazing! I love this restaurant.  The wait was not long.  The burgers are great and the fries are so good with the Steak 'n Shake's seasoning.  Their shakes are to die for.  If you have not had one yet, you need to.  The app makes it easy to pay and tip and also earn rewards.

Great burgers, great shakes, great chili, and their fries are the best anywhere; way better than McDonald'sFood: 5/5

Only went there for the free birthday shake. The manager was telling me how many positions they had when I inquired about the pay. How it's a franchise because the other steak and shake that I went to was closed and they are looking for new owner operators. Sounds like an interesting career and they do pay 13 to 1650 an hour.

Food and shakes are good. The few times I've been here, I have to call out for anyone to acknowledge I'm even there. They seem to focus on the drive thru and not pay much attention to customers in the store or getting pickup orders.

3 months ago I would have given 5+ stars for great food AND service. Today we got to the drive thru window and paid, got our receipt and one of our drinks and then waited for our food. The girl opened the window back up after 5 minutes and said “sorry for the wait, your total is 11.91” we said ohhh no we already paid we are just waiting on our food and other drink. She then proceeded to argue with us while we tried to find our receipt. We handed her the receipt and then realized she had us mixed up with the car behind us, which is fine ok but to argue with us!?! Just awful, they were not busy at all it was us and one other car! Will not be back here! Do better!
