Be careful. I made an appointment for a visual field exam with my doctor's referral. I made it clear I did not need an eye exam when scheduling the appointment. When I got there, they suddenly said they required an eye exam in addition to the other test. This seemed like a scam to get me there and then require the additional test. Did not have either test and will never go back.

The Doctor is okay but dealing with the rest of their staff is horrible. I just wanted to get a prescription to order contacts online. They made it difficult because I wasn't ordering from them. They said the fitting would have to come out of my pocket if I didn't order from them instead of my vision insurance. My vision insurance told me that wasn't true and Steck was likely trying to make it difficult if I didn't buy contacts from them. My contact prescription has never changed. Next time I am just going to use an online service to get my prescription updated. That costs around $30 compared to the $55 Steck charged me. I'd recommend others do the same. They also pressure you to get this back of the eye image which seems like a racket.

Totally would not recommend! They assured me that they were an in network provider with our insurance plan when I called to make eye exams for both my wife and I. But when we arrived on appointment day the story was totally different. They tried to charge us co-pays and upcharges upfront because evidently they were in actually an out of network provider with our insurance. In addition, the doctor was very arrogant and short with us when providing their explanation. Needless to say, we walked out without eye exams. Don't know if this whole incident was an act of incompetence or just deceit on their part!

Doesn't accept the LensCrafters card as payment for eye exam, overpriced. Didn't keep my appointment time was about 30m late which defeats the purpose of making an appointment
