Best experience I've had with car repair in a while. I came in thinking I had a problem with my wheel balance, but turns put it was just some Ice build up. They had it taken care of in no time and gave me the best service. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable!

Had a payment plan set up with this guy and paid over 2 grand in repairs. I go to college and work to pay bills and he wants me to pay over 500 more just for interest. I’ve already paid way over the amount of what the repairs actually cost. Get a letter in the mail saying he’s going to sue me for it in 20 days. 

I got the slave cylinder changed which costed like 6-800$, then I had to take my car back to his shop bc they didn’t bleed my breaks correctly and this time costed me 425$ Bc he said I still had to pay labor. That is a rip off. 
When I tried discussing this with him, he was very defensive and got upset with me saying I was telling him he’s doing his job wrong. 

He said he’s willing to help me but he made it much harder for me to pay the bill with the ridiculously high interest and charging me for a repair he truly should have fixed for free since it wasn’t done correctly in the first place.  

I will never come back to his shop again.

Always go there for any vehicle repairs and now tires. Had bad experiences with other local shops in the past. Can always get a free estimate before work is done.

First experience was great,  had zero problems. Second experience wasn't as good. Prices are a little high, but they stand behind their work.

The owner paid to have my car towed back to their shop and they corrected their work free of charge. 

Overall, a good experience, gotta give them permission to be human. Good, honest people. Just remember, they are PEOPLE. Not machines.

I have family in Boone and started having Mr. Elsberry take care of my vehicles 25 years ago.  His work is always professionally done and I feel confident knowing my vehicle is in good working order.  I continue to bring my car to Sternquist Garage from Kansas City because this is a shop I can trust in maintaining my vehicles.  They have done regular tune ups for me for the past 25 years and because of that, I have NEVER had a mechanical breakdown.  I am confident the work is done well the first time.  I would highly recommend Sternquist Garage to anyone!
