We had a business dinner here for 10 people a few weeks ago. Overall we were so impressed by the quality of the food in SLC, and Stoneground was no different. Their pastas are all handmade and they even had gluten free options for the pasta and pizza dough. I have a fish allergy and the chef worked with me to change a dish that had both fish as the protein and fish in the pasta to ensure it was safe for me to eat. And it was fabulous!

Everything was delicious. Made reservations and got seated right away when we got there. The vibe is awesome too. It was a little warm is all. If they crank up the AC a little more it will be perfect. Highly recommend it.

Excellent overall experience. The atmosphere was dark and rustic without being contrived. Service was exceptional; Our server (Hannah) was helpful and polite without being overly present. The line between being pragmatic and excessive is thin in restauranting, but Hannah executed that balance with the precision of a professional . The calmness of the restaurant was soothing and surprising for a Friday night. The food was superb. Margherita Pizza was packed with flavor with a crust that was chewy and flavorful. The overall experience was great. This place tops the list of fine dining in downtown Salt Lake. Five stars doesn't seem like enough.

The food here is so good that my husband and I put up with the inconsistent service. Everyone's usually nice, but the service can be really slow and last weekend it was non existent. After getting seated right away and given some waters from the busser, no one ever came to get a drink or food order. We could see the waitstaff chatting in the kitchen. We made eye contact with several of the servers and no one came to check on us. After this, the hostess walked into the dining area, we made eye contact with her, and she walked away. She could clearly see we had no food or drinks. After at least 20 minutes we flagged down the bus girl and told her we were leaving. It's interesting that the food is so great here but yet the restaurant isn't very busy. Maybe they should take a look at their service.

Been here a few times, great atmosphere, great food. I enjoyed Stoneground when I visited +1 years ago and it seems like they've changed their menu since... Still a great place to go.
