I travel past all the local shops in my town. Just to get the personalized and very friendly care from the owner and his wife. The only ones i have met besides the dogs. Ordered a bike and had it before Christmas. Offered to deliver but picked it up myself. We are entry level and cant afford much anyway but got the perfect bike for our needs. So far the customer service is well above any I have had in any shop.
Customers must learn to wait for the moment when a busy shop can afford the time to spend with you. I wait and always get superior service. 
It goes both ways.

Great customer service.  I was riding my bike in the neighborhood and was experiencing some rubbing on my break pads so stopped by (I had recently replaced them myself and was afraid I had messed them up).  The wheel quick-release just needed a little tightening, which they did right there on the spot.  Tightened up the handlebars while they were at it.  Bike is running like new.  I'm planning to upgrade my road bike's group-set next year and they will be the first shop I call.

This place just has a really good neighborhood bike shop feel. Most of the time when I go in the owner is there himself,  which I always like to see. They're willing to make the effort to get you what you want, and they didn't gouge me on price. I felt they were willing to put way more effort in for my business than other shops.  Great place where I will continue to take my business.

The owner and the staff there are always helpful and knowledgable. Whenever I bring my bike in for any reason they always take the time to look at it and fix it right away if it's not something that takes too long. No matter what I take it in for they go over the whole bike to make sure everything is working properly and advise me if something should be replaced or repaired. I love riding more now that my bike performs as well as it should. I am very glad I happened to come across this store. Any parts needed or any new bike will be purchased from Stray Dog Bicycles.
