Sugarfire Smoke House is the brain child of well known chef Mike Johnson and Carolyn Downs of Cyrano's.

Our brisket and Memphis style ribs are delicious, as well as our grass-fed burgers, fries, and shakes. Come in and see for yourself!

After recently moving to the St. Louis area a few months ago, I was looking for good BBQ. This place did not disappoint. 

After trying a BBQ place in the Center West End area (terrible food), I thought maybe St. Louis just didn't know how to do BBQ. But then I came to this place. I got the brisket sandwich and it was PERFECT. Their different blends of BBQ sauces are tasty as well and their cornbread is by far the best cornbread I've EVER had. What's more exciting is their bevy of locations, and can't wait to try out other locations when I am not in the area and am across the river in Illinois. 

Keep it up and don't change a thing.

I am not one to go out and buy BBQ... Prep the meat at home and cook out on the grill with a Beer or two. But.... this place!! I should've saved myself the trouble and threw in the towel a long time ago. This place is AMAZING!! The food is crazy good. It's not really anything close to at home BBQ its 100 times better. Super delicious smoked meats and unique sides. If you haven't tried this place.. you must. It's AWESOME.

Great BBQ, entrance & exits not well marked on exterior of building, so we came in the exit. You place your order at the rear of this location, again not well marked. The food is well prepared, smoked to perfection, but from the time it’s plated to the time you pay and get seated everything gets cold. I’m just not fond of cold BBQ. I’ve had much faster service at other locations, so maybe it was a fluke.

Great BBQ, bit chaotic ordering.  1st time at this location.  Washington,MO location was better experience. Still, better BBQ than the entire state of Tennessee had to offer.  
Big Muddy Sandwich was awesome, very filling.  
Also, unique sides change daily. Acorn squash was cool to have at a BBQ joint.. very well done too.

The absolute best barbecue in Saint Louis (yes, I know how tough the competition is).  Everything is wonderful but I encourage you to become a regular patron for two reasons.

 The daily lunch specials are wonderful surprises.  They do a smoked pastrami sandwich that has layer upon layer of flavor.

 I have never seen the same sides twice in all my visits.  It may be hard to find a healthy choice, even the Brussel sprouts and carrots tend to have bacon or brown sugar added.  But the rotation has no end.
