The providers that I see are wonderful, I feel like they listen and take my care seriously. Two years ago I had a real issue with their receptionist who wouldn't return calls, forward information to the therapists or send requested information to other healthcare providers who needed my information . I believe that person is either no longer there or is doing a different job because they have started responding to calls. If you read the reviews on here, which are terrible and all involve the receptionist, you may be turned off. But I really believe things have changed and these complaints may not be valid at this point.

I had heard great things about Barbra Slater from a good friend so I decided to call and schedule an appointment. For one, they acted like they were completely booked for 3 weeks in advance, however, I scheduled an appointment anyway. The week before my appointment, the extremely rude receptionist called me and told me that they were going to have to push my appointment back even further, making it even even longer before I could be seen. I was busy when she called me so I told her I'd call back after lunch. I returned the call and I was even trying to be understanding for the fact that they were trying to reschedule my appointment. When I called back, the receptionist I spoke to literally told me she had no idea what I was even talking about and that it looked like I had never scheduled an appointment in the first place. I never got to meet Barbra Slater but I am NOT wasting my time anymore because of how rude their receptionistsit has been.

When you are dealing with people who have fragile emotions, anxiety and other mental health issues MAYBE you should try a thing called compassion. Your receptionist is rude and dismissive and has ZERO grace. I understand rules and I get that if I mixed up my appointment time then maybe I cannot be seen but to speak to someone in such a short rude manner is NOT ok. You all are not the only providers in town and I will gladly go somewhere else and make sure everyone I know knows how you treat people who are just seeking help. SHAME ON YOU!

DOES ANYONE THERE EVER LISTEN TO VOICEMAILS OR REPLY TO EMAIL?
