My elderly father went in to deposit a life insurance check today -  my mom just died.  All the tellers were recently replaced by machines in North Fort Myers.  My dad asked if he could get someone to help him deposit the check (my father's never even used an ATM before).  They told him no - he had to use the machines.  My dad said he doesn't use machines, and asked if a real person could take care of him.  He said the staff person pointed at the machines and they were hateful to him.  He then felt disrepected and threatened to close his account and they told him he had to use the machines to close his account. I was upset they wouldn't help my dad and I went in afterwards to talk to the bank manager.  I thought he should know his staff didn't offer my dad an opportunity to have a real person take care of his deposit  - he didn't care either.  He just shrugged his shoulders and said there was someone up there to teach the older people how to use the machines so they could get acclamated.  Bank manager said he couldn't provide a dedicated service to one person - meaning my father.  I really think people should be able to have a seat and wait for a staff member to assist them if they are intimidated or dislike the machines.  It's just aweful how little customer service there is these days and lack of human emotion or empathy towards others.

Suncoast's idea to switch out their teller lines with ATMs is idiotic to say the least. On my lunch break, I went to NFM location. I waited for a kiosk to open and found out they do not carry all denominations. So, as instructed by the teller in Tampa, I waited for the customer service desk person to assist. She asked for my member number while others were present around me. I told her I'd write it down. She never sat down, nor did she offer me a seat. She angrily set a notebook down in front of me, so I wrote my member number down. After she was through, I scribbled it out. She then asked how much I wanted to withdraw - appropriate question, except there were people around and would know exactly how much money I'd be leaving with! Working 6 years in banking myself and understanding the threat of identity theft, I got up and left. If there was another credit union closer me, I'd DEFINITELY be pulling my accounts out and moving them elsewhere. What's even worse is if I called to complain, I'd be calling some 1-800 number and wasting time getting through to that banking center. I will be setting up a meeting with the branch manager, not that it'd do any good.

Great mortgage and auto rates often with bonuses or paid closing costs. Deposit $5 in savings and you are a member for life. Very thorough to the T. Nothing but good things to say.

This is no longer an actual branch. There are no tellers here. You can access the ATM. In fact, there are several ATMs here, but you cannot get assistance from bank employees at this location.
