My water broke and I was in labor. They had me sit in the waiting room for over an hour to even be seen. Once they got me back they checked to make sure my water had broke and indeed it had. They had me sit there for another hour before they Put me in a room. I was already 4cm when they checked to see if my water broke and I requested an epidural. I guess they don’t have one at the hospital so they call for one. I got there at 11:30am and I didn’t get my epidural until almost 6pm and they said I was first on the list to get it but that’s how long it took for the anastesiologist to get to the hospital. I didn’t know what all it entailed going through labor (I was 17 with an abusive boyfriend who wouldn’t let me go to the doctors) so no nurses or anyone helped me deal with the pain or anything. They were very rough and uncaring. I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to ANYONE.

My sister delivered her baby in this hospital a couple of days ago. She's a new mom and I'm very satisfied with how the hospital staff treated her. They were very kind, supportive, and understanding. They have their ways to make you feel like the only patient. It was a very safe and nurturing experience, not only for the new mom but for  all the family members that supported her. They definitely made overall delivery experience a lot easier! I would recommend Sunrise Children's hospital to anyone I know.

WORST hospital ever!!!! If you have Medicaid expect to be ignored. Waited 12 hours for a referral. Nurses lied to me and told me they called for an evaluation but waited 6 hours to make the call. When someone from the behavioral unit came he said if they would have called around 430-5pm when we first arrived they could have had someone there by 6pm, instead we had to wait until 330am and didn’t get discharged until after 4am. I wish there were more pediatric psych emergency rooms in the area because sunrise and their staff are absolutely horrible. I took names and plan on filing a formal complaint.

Had to use the emergency room to get some stitches. This place was great. The staff were so well trained and really good at handling kids. The wait time was virtually zero when we went about 2200.

This place is ridiculous, the ER should have an office where they can discuss X-rays with you instead of having to wait on a room when no one is moving out of ER upstairs or leaving. As a single parent I can't leave to get something to eat without possibly losing our place in line.
