I'm extremely impressed with Sunset Inn & Suites. I didn't really know what to expect about the location, as I'd never been to Vancouver before. The location is fantastic, very close to many attractions in the city centre. As for the room, I am astonished at the size of it. The bed is absolutely huge, excellent TV with loads of channels (and an actual cable box - it's just like your TV at home). There are USB ports and power outlets on both bedside tables, and a serious surge protector on the desk. There's also a balcony, but seeing as how it is raining, it is not getting much use. The room has a small dining room - a table with two chairs - located next to the kitchen. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, sink, stove/oven, and microwave. In addition to that, there are plates, mugs, pots, and pans for you to use. I know I have written quite a bit about the room, and it's just because it's so impressive. Parking is available on-site, but it looks as though it is limited given the number of rooms. Finally, the staff with whom I interacted were superlative. Extremely courteous, hospitable, and knowledgeable about the area. I will definitely stay here again.

The best hotel. Right in the middle of West End, super friendly staff and big rooms with full kitchens. Stayed for 10 days with a seven year old and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Rooms are clean and great. Prices are very reasonable. Staff are helpful and friendly. Location is close to many good restaurants. Will stay again in the future.

Rooms in this hotel are all suites, which are nice. They all come with a kitchen, and living room that includes a sofa bed. Walls are a bit thin so you may hear neighboribg guests especially if they have kids. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is well-equipped with adequate supplies (Neutrogena). They let you borrow umbrellas, which are great since it rains a lot in Vancouver. Parking is kind of cramped in the back of the hotel, but they are free. So can't really complain. Daily continental breakfast is okay. Muffins, breads, coffee, fruits, cereal, and pancakes. Space is tight though sonce breakfast is served in the lobby of the hotel. The minus for breakfast is that you need to bring your own tray and utensils down from your suites every day and wash them all yourself.

Wonderful, quiet location close to lots of restaurants and nightlife. Also a short walk to Stanley park. The room was clean, large and very accommodating. The staff was extremely accommodating, they gave us good recommendations of places to eat, and were very delightful and helpful. Definitely a worthwhile place to stay, and a great location. 5 stars all around!
