Surf Restaurant is excited to present Seacoast New Hampshire’s newest waterfront event space.

Located right on historic Bow Street in downtown Portsmouth NH, The Surf Room is the perfect setting for your next private party, corporate event, wedding, or rehearsal dinner. After looking at several other menus for restaurants in town to celebrate birthdays, we settled for Surf. Got there around 5PM on a Friday when it was just starting to pick up and got a table right away. Got a lovely booth facing the water. The waiter, Jake, was wonderful. He went over the specials with us and gave us time to look over the menu. Didn't feel rushed at all. Chose the horseradish haddock with lobster mashed potatoes and the sea scallops special of the day along with a couple appetizers and cocktails. Every item we ordered was absolutely delicious. It was the type of meal you think about a week later and want to eat again. We'd eaten here a few times before and had a great experience as well. The very first time we tried Surf, Jake was our waiter and patiently explained the menu and all the oyster options as it was our first time trying them. The combination of wonderful food and great service will definitely keep us coming back and suggesting it to everyone. Thank you for making our celebration more memorable!

Very nice restaurant. And they have window seats along the walls of the restaurant where you can look out on to the harbor while enjoying your meal. This is a seafood restaurant being that you're in Portsmouth it is very fresh and it is a bit pricey. They also have some very good clam chowder which I would recommend trying. Their servers here are very nice and I believe there is some street parking but I would encourage visitors to use the Central Garage for the downtown area.

Waitress very knowledgable of various wines and drinks. Exceptional menu options and was well prepared. Cozy atmosphere. Staff is professional and able to handle busy crowd.

Awesome muscles! Great cocktails and great views of the water. No umbrellas so the sun made it hard to look up. But overall great place. Will definitely go back this summer
