This operation is a joke. From the day I decided to inquire about the 2002 Legacy Wagon that I bought off of their Craigslist add to the day I donated the car to charity because the transmission blew up on me (3 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT IT FROM THESE CLOWNS), the experience was not good. It started when I got an email response from the "sales person" saying that he would only entertain "serious inquiries" on this car, as if to imply that my inquiry was not serious enough and that his car was a rare gem. It then proceeded with the test drive and agreement for price and storage of the car. When I test drove it, the car drove smoothly and the only slight defect I noticed was a clutch pedal that was slightly weak in rebound after being depressed, an issue I was prepared to live with. The owner and I came to an agreement that if I left him a deposit for the car and paid for the car in full by the end of the same month, he would hold the car for me without issue. When I came to pick the car up at the end of the month, my registration paperwork was not ready yet and I had to wait for three hours before he completed it. Then, I drove the car off his premises on Mack in Saint Claire Shores and got on the highway to head off to work. WITHIN 15 MINUTES THE CLUTCH PEDAL WAS DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND I ALMOST KILLED MYSELF GETTING IT OFF THE ROAD. I immediately called him up and told him that he needed to repair the car and that I did not want to pay for the repair since I took his car off the premises not 1 hour prior to the incident. He asked me to bring the car back and said he would look at it. I limped the car back to his shop, stopping every few hundred feet because I kept losing pedal pressure. I had him drive it and when he came back from the test drive, I very calmly said to him that I either wanted my money back, or I wanted the car repaired to properly function without paying a dime out of pocket. He told me I was being rude, that he had done me a favor by holding the car for a month (it was not a favor, it was an AGREEMENT by both parties) and finally he reluctantly agreed to fix the car. I waited another week and finally I got a phone call telling me he had installed a new clutch and slave cylinder for the car. I went and picked up the car and for a day or two it seemed fine. After a couple of days it developed a progressively worsening shudder upon acceleration from a standing start as you depressed the clutch pedal. As this was my work car, and as I am raising three kids, I had very very little time to get this diagnosed and did not want to bring it back to him because I felt very uncomfortable after the way I was treated by him, so I drove on with the car for THREE MONTHS. This past Monday morning, as usual, I got on the highway at 8:30am in the morning, and headed for work. On I-94 east bound between exits 236 and 237, suddenly it felt and sounded like someone threw a bunch of bricks underneath my car. The transmission had seized on my in the middle of the highway at 70MPH. Luckily I managed to get to the shoulder of the road without blocking traffic or getting hit. That was the end of the car that I bought from these CLOWNS at full KBB retail! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU LIKE WASTING YOUR MONEY ON GARBAGE!!!

My dad and I have been buying our Volvos from Swan Import for almost 20 years. It is the best place in Michigan to find rust-free vintage Volvos and they are the best vintage Volvo service shop in town. We are really lucky to have them so close.

We've been taking cars for service and buying cars from Ali at Swan for over 10 years. Amazing individualized attention, service and fair prices. It's nice to have a local business that is not only knowledgeable but doesn't take advantage or give you the run around like a lot of dealerships. 5 Stars. Highly recommended.

Completely unprofessional and down right childish. They listed a 95 f150 for $3800 and when it was looked at, we found a broken shift link in the 4wd selector (stuck in 4wd-lo). He said he could give a discount of $300. When countered with another, much more reasonable, offer of $2500 they proceeded to hang up. When test driving the vehicle, the fiance stayed behind to talk with the owner. She had overheard them pretty much insulting me as if I had no idea what I was doing or that they simply got caught trying to sell a broken car since they tried to steer me away from test driving the vehicle. Would not recommend.
