I can't say enough good things about Vans, especially, about the owner, Eric.  Once you talk to him, you know he is not trying to just sell you a car; He genuinely wants you to feel comfortable about the vehicle you purchase.  Eric is an excellent mechanic as well; He personally goes through the cars before he puts them up for sale to the public. He informs you what's been done to the vehicle, insists you take if for a test drive, and, if you are still interested, will work with you to get the best deal.  Of course, he wants to sell you a car, but once you deal with him, you know that he puts customer satisfaction above the sale.  Do yourself a favor, and check out Vans, before you go to the big dealerships, if Eric has what you want, you will be a happy customer, if he doesn't, he will tell you that as well.  Thanks Eric, for a great customer experience; I will certainly recommend you to any one I know that’s looking to purchase a vehicle!

This is how a used car lot SHOULD operate.  Chris is amazing... he put his own money into making sure the vehicle I purchased for my teenage daughter was up to his high standards.  Balljoints, battery, exhaust, and sensor fixed on his dime.  There was a tiny crack in the windshield that he was going to seal, but I wanted the whole thing replaced... so he offered to split the cost with me to make sure I was happy.  I can't recommend Van's enough!  You will get a quality vehicle if you go to his lot!  Also, love the extra touch of sending a hard-written thank you when the purchase was complete.  Can we find a way to clone Chris and drop him off at multiple metro-Detroit locations!???

Got a wonderful car! Eric Bowen is very professional and he makes sure the cars on his lot are in great condition before he sells them. I highly recommend Van's to everyone! I love my car and am so glad to have such a great first car experience!

My name is Dave Kerwood and I have been dealing with Eric, the new owner of Vans Used Car lot, for about 7 years now.  The dealership is now under his ownership. Eric was very fundamental in the sales of my last two vehicles. My wife and I purchased a Buick Rendezvous that Eric showed to us and gave us all the information on about 7 years ago. It was purchased for wife but has now been handed down to me. Still looks great and runs great. When it came time two years ago to purchase another vehicle seeing my older car had reached the end of it usefulness, the wife gave me the Buick and she wanted a SUV a bit smaller than the Buick. I went up and spoke to Eric and he mentioned they had just got in a Ford Escape which we ended up buying. Both of this vehicles have been good running low maintenance cars. We have had no serious problems with either vehicle. I have always been leery of buying from a used car lot but Eric at Vans has eliminated me of those fears. We recently had a problem with the blower fan switch and even though it wasn't covered Eric stepped up and provided a solution that made us very happy. I highly recommend that if you are in the market for a low cost good running used car you got straight to Van's Used Cars in St. Clair Shores. Eric is a honest and reliable person, and an excellent mechanic also. They have a large variety of great used cars. I know I will never go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle. They go that extra mile to make sure you are satisfied. I have to add to the review I wrote two months ago as Eric has stepped up and helped my wife and I out again. Yesterday I experienced a power steering problem in our Buick. I called Eric and he knows that I use the car to get back and forth to work and needed it back quickly. Eric explained that his repair crew were busy and would not be able to get to it for a while. Eric recommended another local place that would be able to do the repairs quickly. Once again a lot of car dealers pretty well leave you on your own once you drive off the lot. We purchased this Buick eight years ago and Eric was more than willing to offer his help and point us in the right direction. I cannot stress enough that if you are in the market for a reliable good used car Van's in St. Clair Shores is the place to go and ask for Eric the owner. you will not be disappointed.

I was looking for a car back in January & I was having such a hard time finding one due to my credit at that time. I came to Van’s Used Cars looking at a 2013 Dodge Dart they had available. Working with Eric had to be the best experience I’ve ever had purchasing a car; it was fast, easy & efficient. I was able to walk away with a nice car for a good price. Thank you Eric, you’re amazing at what you do!

I stopped in to look at a car I could see from the road.  I think it was after their normal business hours. They also have a website.  I think they must sell cars very quickly, because the site lists fewer cars than they have on display.

Wonderful place.  I purchased a vehicle here first in around 2005/2006.  The customer service and value in the vehicle was exceptional.   I referred my brother just recently and the customer service was still exceptional.   The vehicle was affordable and so far so good.  This is my used vehicle dealer preferred.   Thanks

I bought a budget car for food delivery and have put over 52,000 miles on it  Only thing I've done was oil changes and rotated the tires. Great place. I even received a courtesy call after 6 months. Eric is doing it right.Thanks again

Found what I needed, was a great, clean product, in my price range & they made the sale w/ me feeling NOT taken advantage of. Very knowledgeable of what their selling & how to sell the legal/proper way I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle.

Eric has really nice cars, and he is honest, friendly and not the least bit pushy.  One of the best used car salesmen I have ever encountered.
