Good old-fashioned car side service. We we're impressed how the waiters worked as a quick excellent team. They were very attentive and patient as we ordered. The food was good and greasy like a burger should be. We spent $27 for four burgers, 3 drinks, an order of fries and one order of onion rings plus tip. We enjoyed our visit.

Swensons is, to my understanding, a local, and darn near legendary institution.  Whilst I don't fully understand the draw, as I'm not really a fan of their burgers, their menu has a wide variety of rather tasty options not frequently found with places serving similar fare, and their phosphates, alone, are worth a visit.

Their signature offering, the Galley Boy, is dressed up with a standard array of fixings, and given a liberal dose of tarter sauce, giving a nice, zippy bite to the burger.  I suggest trying one, certainly, but I can't say I was won over by it.  Not bad, just not my speed, your mileage may vary.

What impresses me, and consistently does so with every visit, are the old-fashioned phosphates.  Available in chocolate, cherry, and vanilla, these less-sweet staples from a bygone age have always been a favorite of mine.  Carrying a subtle, but clearly defined, flavor, these beverages are refreshing on a warm summer's evening, and provide a wonderful alternative to the otherwise syrupy selections available from most other dining establishment, and make a delicious pairing with a burger and some fried mushrooms.

Quick, friendly service, reasonable prices, and a rather unique experience makes this classic throwback a good once in a while, or more often, thing.

Great customer service!  I called ahead with a large to go order and was told 10 minutes.  We arrived just at 10 minutes and waited another 15 to get our order.  The customer service through the whole visit was great!  They communicated well and with enthusiasm and sincerity.  For the wait I did receive a large Florida on the house - my favorite!  And the food was delicious!

drive in I never expected to run into. The food was cooked to order, quick, and delivered quickly. The server actually ran lol. The prices were lower than I expected them to be and my shake was really good. I loved it. We ate in the car. I'd go again when I'm in the area.

Good burgers. Staff for the most part is very fast. WORD OF WARNING...
Check your change. Staff has attempted to short change and "pocket" change thinking we would not notice. They stated " oh, you wanted that change?" 
Overall good food.
