They dont answer call. Dont return calls. When you go into the office it rakes forever to see someone, who only gives you vage answers. It like they dont want you to improve on your property. Wish I hand not purchased in the city.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Don't listen to all these negative comments, its a busy place but they're more than willing to take calls and help anybody.

I have always had a great experience with the City of Tamarac. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The Mechanical Inspector Johnny is also helpful and has answers to any questions that I have. I definitely have a better experience with permits than any other building departments that I have worked with.

Permiting here is a nightmare. Its akin to the city of miami. There is fee for everything. Nothing is grandfathered in. And they want paper work that no other broward city wants. They want an NOA with cover page on every part u use. Or a raised stamped copy. which no othe Broward city wants. If you cant use their websight to scan ur doc they charge a $20fee to scan something, not to print, takes like 1sec and almost no power. Dont even try to call them they dont pickup the phone or return calls. Turn around for a simple ac changeout around 3mths. Tried to tell me all this was standard. Ive been an ac guy for 12 yrs no this isnt. Make sure all documents are with you 1st time. Because you cant submit without all. And dont accidentally submit something wrong you have to wait a mth or more for it to be denied before you can add anything.
