Excellent service! Our waitress was kind, knowledgeable and attentive. She knew the draft beers well and gave us samples when we were unsure. Beautiful traditional atmosphere in an old hotel. I had the bison pot roast which came with a roll, carrots and garlic mashed potatoes. Delicious! Even though the portion was a good size, I ate the whole thing it was so good. :) my mom got the pecan crusted trout which came with a roll, kale salad and fries. She loved everything but the fries, but our waitress kindly brought her a different side when she complained.

The food is wonderful and I’ve never had a bad meal here, other than a glass of rotten lemonade once. But the staff is a different story, I’ve been here a few times as the food is so good but out of the 5 or 6 times I’ve been here, I’ve had only 1 good server. Today it was super slow with only about 4 tables on our side with people and a few servers. The service was so slow, and just when you’re think it can’t get slower we waited 15 minutes after we were done eating and she went to get us a box for the check. I think they should improve the server department!

Went based on MSU Police Officer recommendation. Homecoming night, everything was packed with long waits. We were told it would take 30 mins for a seat, it took 15. The service was great, the atmosphere lively and fun. We all had bison items and the food was really good. With such a busy night in town we picked the right place to go.

Excellent staff and service delivering awful food. Salt was applied with a ladel. My wife's bison steak which was ordered medium well was only cooked on the very outside. Bison promoters insist it is best eaten rare but we are grown, adult human beings and we know how we like our steaks. Why ask if they are just going to do it their way anyway?

Nice ambiance but way understaffed the night I was there. There was a 25 minute wait for a table so I sat at the bar. The bartender and bar back were great but way outnumbered. The bar was full and they were also having to mix drinks for the rest of the restaurant. Definitely need 2 bartenders and bar back. Salad came out after my entree so kitchen was just as slammed. Call ahead and make a reservation.
