It was our first time visiting Texas 202 Barbecue. My husband mouth was watering for some ribs. The kind that fall off of the bone. Needless to say, we were disappointed. Our entire meal was unacceptable and I got the catfish. Let me tell you this run the other way quick, but on a good note the staff was friendly and place was very clean. So if you know any good rib places. Please share.

I just returned from a trip to the self-proclaimed BBQ capital of the world, Austin, Texas where I had some of the most amazing brisket and smoked sausage I've ever had. And while I was there I kept thinking, "I can't wait to get home to go to Texas 202 and get more amazing brisket and smoked sausage." Texas 202 is the real deal! Rev absolutely knows how to smoke beef, sausage, pork, chicken, you name it!

We went tonight after finding it on yelp. We held high expectations and was not disappointed. We purchased Baby back ribs, a 4 meat platter, coleslaw, beans, potato salad and corn bread. ALL GOOD! We had a conversation with Rev Ward(owner) and found him and his staff very personable. We were surprised that Texas 202 were close to where we live. We have been going way out of our way before. We will definitely return.

Best brisket I've had in MD. Great spicy sausage and cornbread too. My girlfriend says the catfish sandwich was a religious experience. Real friendly folks. Highly recommend.

Rev, the restaurant owner, truly knows how smoke his beef, chicken,, and pork products. Also, side items are delicious and are served in large proportions! The half-n-half lemonade and sweet consistently tastes great! Also, desserts (Apple, peach, and pecan pie slices) are adequately sized, reasonably priced, and are all very delicious!
