I went on a Wednesday and had the "wild west Wednesday" special. I highly recommend it. (Details found on site after selecting the blue springs location) It was one of the best steaks I have had in Kansas city and was cooked medium rare just as I asked for. (Some places can't seem to mange that) The bread was great as mentioned by other reviewers. The portions were generous. The price was very good for the special. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean. The booths are a little tight for my tastes but a tables are available if it bothers you. If it is your first visit to Texas roadhouse, tell your server and you'll get a bag of peanuts to go and a discount on the next visit. Try the deep fried pickles appetizer. I know it doesn't sound like they would be good, but they are tasty.

I called in at 10:30am on a Saturday to make my reservation for a party of 12 and was told my table would be reserved and would maybe take 5min when I got there at 6:30pm (the time I reserved). Well this was supposed to be a surprise party for a friend who would be showing up 15min after the reserved time. Well 30+ minutes after 6:30pm we were finally seated and then were given pretty good service. I would come back again for a smaller party, but it shouldn’t take 30+ minutes for a reserved table. Absolute BS.

I was looking for a nice steak house that would have a large cut of Ribeye! These guys have a 16 oz! It was delicious. The server was awesome. Bread was tasty, but I was more concerned with my steak, which was cooked perfectly. These guys do it right on a Saturday lunch rush!

I wanted to give five stars for the waitress and the food. But the service up till we were seated was awful. The hostess was unfriendly and after giving her the number of guests we stood at the counter and she never said a word again, no welcome, no thank you, no smile. A girl named Savannah took us to our table and when we asked for a booth she literally rolled her eyes at me. There were six booths nearby. I'm sure they were in different server sections but that shouldn't matter. When I asked if that would be a problem, she ignored me, then went "to check if they could do that". So far we're at 0 stars.

Now our waitress Jennifer was awesome. Very nice, smiley, personable and attentive. Here's some advice... I realize younger kids (I was there too) are an excellent choice for hosting. However, they need to be taught customer service. No one has taught them that before they work as a hostess. Your management needs to work with the first line, your greeters. Starting a visit of like this means the server and food have to make up the difference in a rating. Which is why I have the 3 stars I did.

For fast, great service (when there are seats) always to go the bar.  The bartenders are friendly, well versed and if you become a regular really make going a great. Great special on Wednesday and always cooked great
