Story

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Mclean, VA is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

I like the hostess. They don't get much credit for the fact they give first impression of how the service will go. I especially like Joy she is always smiling and I really enjoy her kindness. I came in with my mother and both of us had a hard time making out the menu options. It was slow so Joy helped us know what we wanted. Then to top it off Our waiter was attentive. The food was awesome I ordered the Salmon.

Service was great but the food took longer then it should have. They deal with this rush of people every Friday. So you would think the food service would be faster. Over all great time and friendly staff.

I loved this place! The food came quickly and was delicious. I sat at the bar and had Alex as my bartender. Her service was excellent and she was very nice!

Had a wonderful experience! I generally do not post comments, even for great service (which should be the standard at all establishments), but in this case, I'll make an exception. My waitress, Gianna, was extremely courteous and displayed immeasurable amounts of patience with me, my son, and daughter. I visit this location often, and although, I've never had a bad waitress, but I never had an exceptional one either, until now. I will request her from now on! She's truly what every custom should experience in a dining experience.

The ONLY reason I give it 5 stars is because of the bartender. MAKE SURE you ask for John at the bar, he and ONLY he will take care of you. The other girl, Desiree is TERRIBLE--screws up our orders and drinks every time! Too busy talking and flirting with all the guys that come to the bar, while ignoring women! Shame on you! Meanwhile, John makes up for it. I literally see him constantly moving, working, CLEARLY to make up for what she doesn't do, --does this guy have time to use the bathroom??! Thanks, John! I will be back because of you.
