Serving fine pub cuisine for over 25 years The Alley Restaurant & Bar in Newport Beach is where locals love dining and lounging. Lovingly dubbed by our Alleycats as the "Best Pour by the Shore" for that last drink, The Alley has a late night reputation that is one of legend.

Really large portions and great tasting food! Fun old pub style atmosphere with dim setting and friendly staff. Our server Andrea did a great job and was super friendly. Highly recommended for a date with the wife or group. Food needed more salt but other than that had great flavor -- we ordered the prime rib sandwich and the pecan crusted trout. 🔥🙌

With a location on the corner to pch and where the iconic balboa peninsula begins, the Alley is on your way out or on your way home if you are staying anywhere near the Newport Beach neighborhoods. Great local bar with lots of history. The Older local Newport senior aged couples go daily for dinner and drinks daily at 5pm. Around 9-10 pm, the local Lush crowd is there tieing one on until 2am. The bar tenders are the best in town and the drinks are deep pours, example a screw driver is 98% titos organic vodka with a half splash of fresh OJ for 7-8$... local crowd tends to congregate here, basicly 7 days a week and there's folks of all ages hanging around because the place has been there so long that it just becomes habit forming for all that have ever made it their local spot, spanning 3 almost 4 generations. Great food and comfortable booths. They serve food until 10 pm. The place is dark, you wouldn't be able to ever see if they actually vacuumed the floors after closing, but it doesn't much matter because the food is a few cuts above the likes of say a Yard House or a TGIF and with a much more local and authentic atmosphere then the franchised chain bar restaraunts. If you are visiting and you like a good dive bar, The Alley is recommended.

Amazing food where the menu ever changes. Chef Santiago is always fantastic and the bartendars, Stanton, Michael, Cash, Jose, and the staff are the pro's. Love this place for years. A true Newport icon.

Friendly service. Good food. No complaints here. Server checked on our group and engaged with us. First time for a couple gals and definitely wont be our last!

Looking for a place that offered Saturday brunch in OC; this restaurant was on many of the top 10 brunch spots in OC articles I read. Excited to try this place out, I was at first a bit disappointed in the overall ambiance. Not the classy local place I was looking for, more like a bar /pub than anything else. Nevertheless they have both front and back patio seating ( which you can smoke in) . location is decent but not great with a view of an empty street / alley (as the name suggests) on the back and just the shopping center on the front. Food was good. Something special about the California Eggs Benedict. Overall walked out spending $35 including the bottomless mimosas. Service was very good. Overall decent place, not what I had expected though.
