I used to drive by The Back 40 every day when I lived in St. Augustine and always wanted to go in and eat. Me and my family decided to eat here tonight and the back patio was just the setting we were looking for- cute picnic tables and nice lights that set the perfect setting for the food. McKenna and Sophia were very pleasant to have serve us and made us feel very at home. Then the food came out - HOLY **** this was some of the best food I've had in Florida. We all ordered something different and I tried a bit of everything and fell in love. I will definitely be back here one day soon and highly recommend it for a nice casual dining experience with great staff and DELICIOUS food.

The food was really good and staff is very nice. They will modify your order however you like it and no hesitation. However seating is limited since it's a small building but it shouldn't be a problem unless you go during rush

Went during a two day trip with my mom because it was rated 7 of 460 restaurants on Trip Advisor. Nothing terrible happened and costs were reasonable. However, we got the nachos and the chips were stale and were the circle shaped type you'd find in gas station nachos. The grilled chicken wasn't grilled. It was either baked or boiled. Menu said grilled. We also ordered a Cuban. That was good. It was an okay experience. I didn't taste anything unique or special though. We wouldn't go back again. There's just too many other places that do offer a one of a kind experience and this wasn't that.

This is in a historic old home in an out of the way come find us location.    We are glad we did.  Place is great!  Food is always  on point, service is great.   They have seating inside and out in the back.    Locally owned and operated and doing a great job sourcing local food to serve.

Great food,big portions and friendly staff! Only thing is that the place is in a bit of a remote area and hard to find without some guidance. But overall it was great!
